I'm not sure about that at all to be honest, we all know what kind of market we operate in, we can afford the few duffers that occasionally sign.

Van Dijk, Bitton and Johansen more than cover the loss of the 3 mentioned above and if signing those 3 is Lenny's worst record in a season as a Celtic manager then that's * good going.

Personally I think we have to get away from this idea that the manager is responsible for everything that happens at a club. Lennon is no more responsible for the "dross" than he is for the successes. Scouts look for and recommend players, Lawwell and the business types negotiate for them and then Lennon works with them. I'm sure he has some input but it's not all down to him, good or bad.

When you are spending on average less than £2m a player then it is only to be expected that some of the players will not make. Vic, Forester and the potential sale of VVD will more than pay for all of Lennys transfers in that did not work. It is not even necessary to add in the smaller sales like Hooper and Ledley. Some here expect every player we buy to become a roaring success.

He's not... but he's nowhere near as good as some on here think he is.

This article by Tom English pretty much echo's my thoughts on him...

If every signing was a signing of the quality of Van Dijk I'd be an extremely happy bhoy.

Tom English is an absolute fud of a guy as well.

I think we should look at more proven talent in Scotland (like GMS & Armstrong) that are safe bets to buy and probably cheaper as well.

For all we knew, Van Dijk could have been * and that would have been an expensive cost.

Saying that I'm not actually sure if there is anyone in the SPFL I'd sign right now that would make a difference to our team.

I prefer Adam Rooney to Ciftci, but both are decent players. I think Rooney could do a job for us.

    Sorry, this is off topic.

TBH, I've never followed his 'work'... I saw VVD's name in the headline and read it on the basis of that.

Just read that article there. Complete and utter BS. Van Dijk is the best centre half I've seen in Scotland since pre Strachan. I'd probably rate him over McManus and Gary Caldwell (when he was class for us).

I do agree with him on Rangers though.

Probably a classic non Celtic (/Rangers - sorry) supporter who has a chip on their shoulder about us doing well and anything that we ever do.

I thought it was common knowledge that Lenny didn't many of his initial targets last summer and ended up with guys 4/5th on the list. How's that his fault? He doesn't negotiate the fees/wages. Fine over the years some pish was signed but you'll always end up with some * when trying to unearth a gem. Imo still wasn't backed the way he should've been after selling his top players and making champions league.

    As for Tom English.........Fud

Ok i dont know where to start with this. I assume you are that guy mark who had it in for Neil Lennon and by extension me for defending him. I see you have rebranded yourself after your lies about Neil Lennon's spending was debunked by other posters. To each their own.

Right first of all the anti Celtic propaganda and troll allegation. Tout me out to a moderator then and let them decide, i have no problem with that.

Second. The Lennon spending pish again after it has been proven that he spent less than he took in even after you changed the rule half way through you were still proven wrong. Nice try with the new username, people might forget about your last embarrassment. I might become a gold member but i will rename myself: "The artist formally known as Og1"

I'm not even going to get into the Lawwell wankfest.

Of course i like Sutton. He was immense for us and it hurts me to see other supporters call him a *. In this very thread i have said he has spoke some * but he is entitled to his opinion and does not deserve the abuse he is getting from the keyboard warriors.

I am not anti ronny either and never was. I was very critical of him right up until January. He has made mistakes and it was a very poor start. I'm glad he has learned from them and he now looks to be a good man for the job. If he gets us winning things and restore our european respectability then he will have no problems with any supporter. You will find that I am very consistent any man who has done right by us will get loyalty and respect from me.

Strange also that he is accused of "spunking away" money on wages. I was under the impression that we like other clubs did not rely on our manager to thrash out wage deals. Maybe if he did not have to spend so much time doing wage negotiations then he would have done even better as a football manager.

There is an agenda by some posters to rewrite history and to lowball the success of Neil Lennon. It is the most despicable thing on this forum. When they cant knock his achievements on the pitch they then claim he "spunked away millions." I dont mind some posters having this view because the media figures claim his spending for 1 particular summer was much larger than it actually was but other posters know the figures he really spent and still spread lies. I cant figure out why anyone would do this either

So why did he leave then ?

He was told by that fantastic guy PL "NO MORE SPUNKING AWAY THE MILLION LENNY".

Lennon threw the dummy and left ..

    Hows that for history ?

And maybe get back on topic seeing as you like to derail topics with your conspiracy pish.
