I think we can safely say that Big Eck is going - anyone who saw him interviewed about the WC draw could see it written all over his big ugly ginger face.

No wonder the guys squad was full of spl players,

aye id say eck is away.

Plus, can't see Pearson or Miller getting a game down there anymore, really takes a Scottish manager to give a Scot a real shot in the team down there nowadays.

Hate to say it, but Davies could do a job at a spending club imo. Can't stand the wee tadger, but he is a good manager.

40 million was a ball park figure, but it could be close to it rather than over it.

    9 million on Gordon
    6 million on Jones
    5 million on Chopra
    2.5 million on Halford
    2.5 million on McShane
    2.5 million on Higgenbotham
    1.5 million Etuhu
    1 million on Anderson
    Undisclosed on Richardson
    Undisclosed on ODonovan

Not including the undisclosed thats 30 million

Derby & Sunderland are not in the position to be spending millions & millions.. Derby did it a few seasons ago, got relegated and then went into administration. You cant just go up from the championship and expect to make an instant impact. Theyre also not in the position to attract big name players as theyre almost certain to be in a relegation battle. Therefore with the money they have, mid-class premiership players or good championship players are the types being bought.

You cant blame the managers for the position theyre in, neither draw in 60,000 a week and are almost guarenteed CL football every year. Its a whole different kettle of fish to the position celtic are in.

That what i was saying , The fact that davies got fired when what the * do these chairman/board expect , they obviously reckon that with another manager it may spur them on to survive

I was being sarcastic about sunderland sacking keane

If derby hadnt made it up then most probably they would be in the top 6 in the championship and davies would be getting lorded for his continual good job

I think they have made a huge mistake & i also expect davies to take over another chamionship team and take them to the brink/or into the prem whenever a job comes up next season

The one out of work is Paul Jewell, one of the ones in work is Paul Ince... As far as my family in Derby tell me Jewell will be new Derby manager, Mcleish new Brum & Davies new Scotland.. All seems abit convieniant though doesnt it.
