Aye i think he's slightly over analysing things there. :smiley-laughing002:

The bold Callum McGregor is also left footed... should we just play a team of left footers?... And be sure to shoot to the goalkeepers right, at ALL times?

Unfortunately we'll have to play a few right footers, unless we can pull in some of the u17s?.... Either that, or we'll have to ban any right footer from using their right foot?

    I'd go with.

    Gordon

    Matthews Findlay Van Dijk Izaguirre

    Rogic Johansen

    GMS Commons McGregor

    Griffiths.

Obviously Matthews and Van Dijk's right foot will be ineligible.... Other than that, the rest are left footed.

Either that or - as you say - we ban all of ourr ight footers from using their strong foot.

Remember in Rocky 2 when Mickey ties up Rock's right hand and forces him to jab with his left? Lol.

    Yes, he has been terrible.

At least he works hard, though.

Griffiths works hard and scores. But at least Guidetti works hard.

But, that's not really the reason though, is it?

The main argument for people wanting Guidetti to start is down to his style of play compared to Griffiths' being more suitable for this game.

What exactly is Guidetti's style of play?

His link up, ability hold the ball in, stronger on the ball. Griffiths runs the channels alot and relies on pace and getting in behind on the shoulder, if Inter sit in which I'd expect them to do that's immediately countered.

There will be times in this game more than any other when we are under some serious cosh and we will need the striker to be able to make the ball 'stick' and I don't think Griffiths is good enough at doing that. Whereas Guidetti, regardless of his recent goal record, is.

This talk about Guidetti being 'terrible' even when he was scoring is bollocks. The guy was clearly about 60 or 70% yet was still the one we were relying on continually in the early part of the season, up until about December to create chances and score. He wasn't amazing and all action but he still scored and still created 9 assists.

Youd have a point if it was 20+ goals spread out , but its 12 goals scored in a 8 week period.

So all Guidetti has over Griffith's is the ability to make the ball "stick"? (whatever the * that even means).

It means Gudetti had one good game against Partick where he put himself about and made and impact upfront. On that he now has a whole 'style' of play and despite not being able to score in the last few months he must start.
