Celtic and New Balance

the shirt in 85 was the same as this current one been floated about

broad hoops with a pinstripe hoop top and bottom .

 

There may be NO guidelines as to colour of hoops on Celtic strip but they should obviously be Emerald Green.

 

So you can't see the difference between our last 2 (3 including this leaked one) and every kit before that? 2012 had very thin Hoops which just looked weird, this season each Hoop is made up of 7 small green hoops with a gap between them which doesn't look right at all either and this new leaked one has an outline on the Hoops.

Every other jersey before that had a similar thickness of Hoops with nothing fancy done unlike any of the last 2 (3) kits, and that's the way I think it should be.

its unlikely any kit released is going to be universally loved. everyone has different opinions on different kits.

i like the current home top, although at first i wasnt sure about it. but once id read the press release that explained nikes intention behind the design - trying to celebrate our history of number 7's - then i started to appreciate it a bit more because they seemed to at least try to celebrate our history to some extent. obviously it missed the mark for a lot of people which is fair enough, but i also think a lot of people hate it because they think the design is meant to tie in with magners....which it isnt.

i quite like the bumblebee top too, which a lot of people seemed to hate and one of my favourite tops of all time was the ford people home top (which noone else seems to like!)

of our recent tops, the one ive disliked the most is the thin hoops from 2012 which seems to be a favourite among people on here.

its all subjective and its impossible to please everyone (and sometimes even the majority).

im not precious about who makes our kits. im not going to look down on NB because they dont have the profile of nike/adidas/umbro etc. if they were the best offer on the table then fair enough, but as yet im still to be sufficiently impressed with any of their kits. i think the liverpool one looks terrible and the feedback from their fans seems to be pretty poor.

although the leaked design for our home top doesnt look that bad, in the close up image of the badge and NB logo, the badge looks suspiciously like its a transfer rather than one that is stitched on to the top. i know even if its the real design, the image is only a concept design and not of the actual top itslef. but if does turn out that our badge is going to be some * transfer that would peel off after a few hot washes, then im not going anywhere near it. might as well buy a cheap knock off down the markets

Are we allowed numbers on our shorts?

 

The SPFL name/number fonts also make our kits look more *. I preferred the old SPL font.

 

Are you being serious? The 98 kit had like 3/4 big thick hoops and 3/4 other hoops that were like a quarter the size of the other hoops, not to mention the somewhat cluttered shadowing of Celtic crests within the hoops. How the * is that not "fancy"?

They are now selling next seasons alleged home top from China on this well used and well known site that has been discussed much in the Pub Section

Personally I wouldn't touch it until the club do the official launch, pre advance stuff has come from China before that wasn't the real thing and I have my doubts this will be the final design.

....oh and before the same old questions is asked....the club crest and NB are not in the photo for copyright reasons

Been thinking about getting the original umbro one off eBay because it was my first jersey

I've asked them to send me a picture with logos. We will see if they reply.

I ordered the two away shirts off this website last year. It's definitely worth the gamble for £12-£15. If the picture they send back it decent I am going to order one.

 

I thought once they put numbers on the hoops they done away with the ones on the shorts, whit do I know pure riddy :smiley-laughing002:
