Thought he was better in a central role.

 

I thought Armstrong would go on to bigger and better things but he just looks like a decent SPL player to be honest.

 

I still like him, but not delivering. And as for delivering, keep him away from fkn corners please.

 

I thought he played not bad, much more involved and creating space but ended up covering Rogic for a lot of the time. He's not a winger and hasn't played in central midfield for a while.

Clearly got fitness issues. It was the 88th minute and he was walking to take the corner. He was practially jogging when he had the ball in the 91st min

He was rotten tonight . His problem is this - he is average at everything .His passing is average , pace is average, strength average , creativity average, deliveries are bang average . Plays too many simple balls and is unwilling to take risks to create things .

He's 24 in March as well. Should be starting to show something by now.

I knew this would happen everyone saying he was poor! He was really very good tonight up until the last 20 mins when his legs went he was out on his feet and was really was making mistakes which are fresh in everyone's mind some people really need to watch and consider the whole 90 minutes.

 

I think he is rank rotten. Always have always will.

Bar that Inter cameo he has been * *.

So you think Commons is *? Just curious as the position he plays and his style of play will have that happen as he always tries something a little bit of creativity which is why he was important in the middle tonight.

 

I had no idea what he was like before he came to us, had never watched him but I was led to believe he was a goalscoring midfielder. Even read that he was similar to Muller..

Expected him to be one of those players who would be relatively quiet in a game, just do the simple things, work hard but also get into good positions and score goals for us. After Inter at home I thought that was definitely the case but it hasn't been.. He rarely looks like getting into good positions or scoring goals.

 

I agree with you however to be fair to him 95% of the time he is played out of his natural position and even tonight it wasn't until Rogic went off that he moved up the park and his legs went not long after. We won't see the best of Armstrong until he plays in the commons/Johansen position and that won't happen until someone can play on the left although GMS did look a different player tonight which was encouraging as he has been rank all season

 

How the * can the guys legs be gone!! We have Mr Motivator as a manager nobody should be tired.
