    Scott Allan couldn't break down a pish Falkirk team in last years Scottish cup semi final even when he was trying his hardest to. I fail to see what he would've added against a European calibre side that reigning Scottish player of the year Johansen wouldn't have.

    Your estimations of Allans ability is heavily exaggerated. How you can even suggest he would compete with Armstrong and Johansen is absolutely ludicrous and baseless considering how little he has achieved in his career so far.
    Furthermore, Brown was a player who was putting in glowing performances in the SPL and had won a trophy with Hibs. He was the most exciting Scottish prospect at the time.
    If Allan was or could be, as good as you suggest, he would be at a better club already. After only a handful of games Armstrong played Inter Milan and didnt look of of place. How you would even think Allan is a worthy competator for his place is crazy.
    Lets get things into perspective for a moment. Teams like West Ham have paid over a million for players like stephen hendrie, hull with andrew robertson. Allan is availible for around £400k and Rangers look about the biggest team with a genuin, recognised interest.
    We have far better and i highly doubt that we were ever realistically
    Interested.

    The amount of games we play over a whole season, I've no doubts the three behind the striker will all swap and change. He will get his chance in the hole this season.

    It's mental isn't it? Nothing against Scott Allan, but there's not s joy to evidence to suggest he's on the same level as Johansen or Armstrong. Guy must be trolling.

    Armstrong is a far better player than Scott Allan. Mental to think otherwise.

    That being said, he should be playing through the middle or not at all. He's wasted on the left, and we're wasting a spot that should belong to a natural winger.

    tbf armstrong was terrible last night. Gives the ball away far to easily and often atm. Maybe time to drop him or move him into the central position.
