Hate to say this overused word but he still looks quite 'raw' to me.

Another couple of years and we will have a much better player, naturally.

I thought he played quite well. Very comfortable on the ball, looks for a pass, good link up on the left.

Considering he's playing out of position, I think he did well

I think his pace will make him a vital asset in Europe plus the fact he has a clever footballing brain.

Didn't actually realise he was as quick as he is.

He's had a solid enough start to his Celtic career. I think out of the two, there's been more hype around GMS because of the type of player he is, but Armstrong will develop into a right good player for us imo.

Still very early days for him.

Can someone tell me why Delia doesnt set his team out like this ...

    Gordon

    Matthews Denayer Van Dijk Izzy

    Brown Bitton

    GMS Armstrong Johansen

    Griffiths

Its clear as day this guy has to play through the middle and Johansen has proved he can play in any of the 3 positions behind the striker. Why GMS isnt starting every week is a arguemnt for a other day :47: but surely Deila has to see this is our strongest team and this is how they should line up?

So you would take our POTY out his best position?

Not very impressed by Armstrong so far. There's a player there but he's played more bad games than good.

Needs to be played through the middle but we can't exactly move our POTY from his position.

Johansen can be just as effective in games being played out on the left or right?

I'd like to see Armstrong alongside Bitton in the middle. I know a lot of posters here will crumble at the idea of Brown not being our starting eleven, but he's not as "crucial" as he's made out to be on here imo. Bitton and Armstrong would be a more technically sound pairing.

I've yet to see him have a 'bad' game personally. He has been less effective at times but that doesn't constitute having a 'bad' game.

I reckon he'll go on and become one of the first names on the team sheet next Season.

    Crumbling at the thought :54:

I like both Bitton and Armstrong but I think Brown is stronger defensively than both. We need that.

Same, I dont think he's had a bad game yet either, he's very comfortable on the ball and has good pace and work-rate, which for me means he'll always be atleast decent.

His best game was the game he played in Brown's position a home game about a month ago, we played really nice football in that but I cant mind who it was against or the score id say he was MOTM, was the game Brown was suspended.

I also think domestically he'd play better in the middle(Brown or Johansens positions) of the pitch, since he's more natural there but in Europe he will do a good job for us out wide due to being able to defend and attack and have the pace and skill on the ball.
