I thought we would look toothless in terms of putting the ball in the net without Commons on the pitch but Armstrong offers a similar threat, when he's on the pitch you're just a little bit more confident we can grab a goal.

What a player. One of the most techniquely gifted players to come through in Scotland in a long time.

    My two favourites too.

I did want Armstrong, but I admit I didn't expect him to be as good as what we've seen.

Hopefully with how well him and GMS have slotted in, it shows those who have control over the pot that we do have talent in the league, it doesn't cost much and we shouldn't over look it for some crap with an exotic last name.

I know all transfers carry their own risks. In general, I'd rather buy what we know from our own league or at least look there first. What I want is a spine of Scots or those that are already adapted to the culture of football and then complimented by a Lustig, Wanyama, Johanson etc.

We've missed out on proven top talent from the SPFL. It's unforgivable in my eyes considering they're right under our noses.

Agreed , its shocking some of the Scottish players we've missed out on McFadden , Fletcher , Gauld and Robertson to name a few.. GMS and Armstrong are proving how important these players are.

Armstrong and GMS are definitely showing that signing more homegrown talent is the way forward for us as a club and nation. Don't need to worry about language barriers in the dressing room and on the pitch, and they're also already familiar with the environment.

We should also have snapped up Gauld before other clubs started sniffing about, but ah well.

Missing out on Robertson is a sore one, he would have been perfect. I always though Gauld was a bit overrated but he obviously has bags of talent.

Robertson and Russell are two that we shouldn't have let slip.

Russell, Robertson, Gauld, Fletcher and McCarthy are players recently who should've been at Celtic a year before they left for England or we should've put up a fight for them. You look at these players who we should've got and look at the players we brought in instead of them, it's a disgrace.

He could maybe get player of the year. Been brilliant at Dundee Utd all season and so far been brilliant at Celtic. What y'all think?

Excellent display tonight. Showed that he is useful when we need to defend and fight, and not just an attacker.

Someone mentioned last week that GMS is what we all hoped Forrest would be. Well I think Armstrong is the player we all thought McGregor would be.

Real class act. Him and GMS will fit in here.

Another good display son. Much much better than I ever gave the lad credit for. Not that I'd saw him much really so my usual poor judgement!

I'd seen plenty of him in the past and, though I always thought he was good, I felt he didn't get involved enough. Well Deila wouldn't allow that here and Armstrong seems on board with the philosophy.

There was a reason that Strachan called him and GMS while still at Utd.
