Sean Daeler, what happened to "Stokes will definitely start"? Thank * we started Armstrong over Stokes, he's just a better player with higher potential and who scored more in one half of European football than Stokes has in the last three years :56: Long may it continue :50:

In a few years i could easily see him being our best player, he doesnt have any glaring weaknesses in his game, great all rounder who will only get better.

Him and GMS are still behind fitness wise - badly. Armstrong is better off physically - done well.

Very comfortable tonight. Not fazed or hassled at all by the occasion.

He's gonna be an amazing player , great passer , great movement and great engine.. I want to see him playing behind the striker for us , reminds me of Petrov with the timing of his forward runs.

Great home debut, him and GMS proved there good enough for the step up tonight.

Can't wait till there fully up and running, exciting times.

A cracking player already, but playing for us he's gonna improve along with GMS.

Still think he is holding back a bit and allowing the more senior players to take control. Once he gets the swagger in his play and realises he can be the main man here , he will be a seriously good player for us .

Absolutely brilliant tonight, proved that he's more than capable of playing at this level. Hopefully means Stokes won't be seen again.

He didn't look out of place at all going forward tonight but he left Izzy woefully exposed, understandable at this stage of his career but definitely something that needs worked on.

He'll be our captain in the future when Broony retires.

Great tonight, thought the last 2 games he has been overawed but it can't be easy playing for the greatest team this world has ever seen.......

I spoke to a Dundee Utd fan not long before we signed Armstrong and Mackay-Steven. I asked him who he thought would be the better signing for us and he was confident that Mackay-Steven was the better player. I'm not so sure. I think Stuart Armstrong will prove to be the better player in the long run. They're both off to a good start though which is encouraging.

I thought he was class just a very intelligent player other than his goals my favourite moment of him was when they were on the break and he made a brilliant tackle to get the ball back and hurting himself in doing so.
