    Another excellent debut.

His passing, energy and ability on the ball will do us the world of good. Still so much more potential to improve on as well.

    Exciting times.

Played well tonight, got a goal and looked dangerous.

Excited to see what he brings next.

Not sure what me being apprehensive about a new signing coming in has to do with your hatchet job on a Celtic player who has been one of, if not the best, performer for us this season.

    He was very good tonight.

Re-watching his goal, you really have to praise his positional awareness. Passes it then run straight into the area where Guidetti turned.

You rubbished him as a player and the idea of us signing him :56: Changing your tune because it's obvious already how wrong you were, you were just making clueless remarks for the sake of it.

With Gordon, Van Dijk, Denayer, Brown and Johansen all playing how they have this season, and even Guidetti at first, if you seriously believe Stokes has been our best player this season, then you are simply so deeply in love with the man you can see no fault in him. Get real.

Yep, I didn't want him to sign. He couldn't hold a regular place down for DU so I was wary of signing him.

Your dislike of Stokes is stupid though, you've even changed your mind about Griffiths, someone you absolutely despised.

It's as if players only play well when they score, in your eyes...

What were your reasons for not wanting to sign him? It was obvious to see anytime he played for Dundee United the skill, dribbling and flair he had. But you were completely against his signing, why? Was it because an injury kept him out of the team for a while? What exactly was it?

It's cause Stokes is Irish, while Mackay-Stevens is just a Scottish infidel.

Because he couldn't hold down a regular place for Utd? I thought that was quite clear?

whether it was injures or form, the fact is he blows hot and cold, not unlike other winger(s) we have at the club.

He played well tonight, lets see how he progresses.

Yeah, just like those other Oirishers McGinn and Murphy. Clearly all better than the sweaty socks Broony and Gordon.

So you couldn't make up your mind by watching the player, it was Dundee United's decision to sometimes not play him due to recovering from an injury that made you totally dismiss the idea of us signing him? :43:

Shows the fitness levels of the likes of Izzy, Matthews, Lustig, Forrest, Brown, Bitton, Johansen, Griffiths, Stokes etc that I would class Armstrong as a fit energetic player but thought he clearly couldnt keep up with the rest of the team tonight, think they even mentioned he had cramp at one point. Ronny has got our squad flying won't be long before Armstrong is flying about like Johansen.

Re you seriously clinging onto the fact he was apprehensive about signing GMS

He had a good debut, steady on. I was glad we signed him because he was so cheap and low risk. I still have my doubt over whether or not he will cut it here.

Your hatred of Stokes though is embarrassing. He has clearly been one of our best players this season.

    For parts of this season.

He was less than impressive at the start.

I actually noticed that too mate. Could clearly see that both the new guys were way behind everyone else in terms of fitness. Should only take a month or two to get them up to speed.

Aye, they couldn't keep up with the pressing and running that everyone else in our team is now used to, was clear as day too.
