    I disagreed with spending that because that is the figure we were told before entering any negotiations.

    It appears our stance on that transfer softened given that ultimately we have got both for less than 2 million up front. Which is good business.

    We should send everybody who is not sitting in the bench right now on loan to Hibernian so they can rape the huns at the playoffs. Hattrick from Boerrigter, it would be marvelous :D

    Dundee Utd obviously stuck to their guns with the GMS fee, and rightly so in my opinion. 250k is money well spent in my opinion, and getting both in just now, will only benefit us going into the CL qualifiers, which was my main reason for wanting us to meet their asking price, which they clearly were never going to lower.

    They wanted £2.5 million for Armstrong, they got £1.7 million + add ons.

    That isn't 'sticking to their guns', they are 3/4 million down from 'sticking to their guns' overall.

    I think you should read my post again. I've never commented on the Armstrong fee. As I said, they stuck to their guns regarding the Mackay-Steven fee. Hence why we paid full asking price they were after, 250k.

    I think you should read mine.

    I'm suggesting their stance softened on paying what they wanted for GMS considering they took a chunk off the fee required to get Armstrong...

    Put Mcgregor in that team he would be a stand out like Armstrong or gms ,he is every bit as good and has actually scored for us and in europe ,because he has dipped in form which happens ,we just get rid.
