So your stars are defensive players. I don't know much about Bitton it will be interesting to see if he's so good you say. Johansen seems to be a dangerous offensive player. Any other? Do you have any good wingers?

Kris Commons should be a worry for any opposing team - but he's definitely not a traditional winger. The other people who can play out wide are Mackay-Steven, Armstrong and Forrest - they can all be dangerous on their day but they're inconsistent. Mackay-Steven probably the best of the three imo, great technique and pace

The last time we played in the CL groups I seem to recall that we received around £18.5m from UEFA. The money is supposed to be higher this year. Does anyone have the figures?

I'm starting to think this lad is a WUM.

Let's just wait and see what happens a week on Wednesday. You can form your own opinions on what our formation is and who our good wingers are. I'm really not interested in who plays for Malmo, we'll beat them regardless.

I'm sure this is the year that CL money could practically double (taking everything into account) with the amount BT is throwing at it.

4-2-3-1. Commons was a starting player last season but got injured in preseason so too early to say for this season. There's no indication he's declined though

Ok Malmö have changed a lot during the season but I believe they will have a defensive startup in the first game. Particularly now when Rosenberg is suspended.

As I said before it will probably be a tight game with few goals

Good morning Celtic-fans, here is Another Malmö-supporter treading carefully in Henrik Larsson-territory, with some opinions that are a bit different than other fanatics from my city.

Let me start off by saying I hold as a strong European team, on paper better than Malmö. A lot more flair and ball on the ground than before, with Johansen as your technical linkup with good speed. That being said, Malmö will be a tough nut to crack.

    Here is your opposition:

Wiland - former FC Copenhagen-keeper, lots of Champ.League-games, caps and experience
Tinnerholm - next in line challenging Lustig for Swedish National team right-back, some say Tinner is better already, I disagree. NEVER stops running.
Rasmus Bengtsson - former Twente central D, caps in Swedish national team, lots of Eredivisie-experience against Ajax, PSV etc
Kari Arnasson - Icelandic national team, central defender, very clever and ambitious, 38 caps for Iceland...
Felipe Carvalho - Young central defender, strong as an oxe, fast as a Shark but inexperienced..
Yoshi Yotun - peruvian attacking left back, national team, helped Peru reach semifinals in Copa America (didn't play that much to be honest)

Oscar Lewicki - defensive mf, clever workhorse, keyplayer in Swedish U21, who won Euro under-21 this summer.
Enock Adu - redcarded workhorse, will prob be replaced by Erdal Rakip, Young talent or Jo Inge Berget who you already know of...
Rodic - serbian technical winger with lots of flair, dangerous on the highest level WHEN getting the space and time to show his moves.

Nicola Djurdic - attacker loaned from Augsburg in Bundesliga, who played for Helsingborg when Celtic faced them a couple of years ago, very high capacity when used properly.
Markus Rosenberg - our best player, needs no introduction, very intelligent and Quick with fast release. Suspended first game.. :(

In my opinion, 3 to 4 Malmö-players are on Celtic-level, the rest are just below. Rosenberg, Djuricic and Lewicki could improve a Celtic-team. If Malmö wins this, it will be an upset. But that is our speciality...

On Another note, the game between Helsingborg and Celtic in Sweden a couple of years ago...? We all know Forster saved you NUMEROUS times against King Larssons former club, you were completely outplayed (18-11 in shots, 6-3 in corners, 3-0 in clear breakaways behind the back four) and the result should have been a clear Helsingborg-victory. Play like that against Malmö and you will not be participating in the Champions League this season...

I Believe, unfortunately, Celtic will win the first game 2-0 and lose the return 2-1 after massive Malmö-pressure, leaving Malmö in the Europa League. I hope I am wrong.
Well met in Malmö and good luck!

Welcome Entertainer :50: however it should be noted that that side who played the Helsingborg game is completely different to now. Plus, we played very average against them.
