Would have preferred the Albanians or Kazakhs, but as others have pointed out... if we can't beat Malmo, then we don't deserve to be in the CL.

Plus points are it's a nice short trip and Malmo is a decent town to visit.

Do Malmo play on an artificial pitch?

Fun fact: Malmo wanted Ronny as manager before he came to Celtic. They made an offer but Ronny was not impressed and stayed at Stromsgodset.

Watching the champions league last year malmo kind of reminded me of ourselves. They worked hard and looked decent enough but didnt have enough quality to really make an impression. Their group was juventus, olympiakos and athletico madrid- they did beat olympiakos at home but to be fair i dont think we would have got more than 4-5 points in that group ourselves.

I think we have a big advantage in that losing is not a * option for us.

Everyone going on about how they beat Salzburg, I'm pretty sure Salzburg have lost Ilsanker, Sabitzer, Gulacsi and Bruno all to RB Leipzig, as well as losing Alan and Kampl. Plus Soriano wasn't fit. That's a serious shadow of a team losing players with that quality. Completely different side to what we faced, plus the fact we were a shadow of what we are now when we played Salzburg too in my opinion.

We'll beat them, confident enough but I know they are a decent side.
