I know what you mean but we don't have a choice unfortunately. Seeded team is always at home in the 2nd leg of the playoff.

I'd only be fully confident with Skenderbeu tbh. With Astana, poor team, but you'd need to go out to Kazakhstan. The rest are tricky.

Would still always prefer the second leg at home.

That's not true. It's whoever comes out the hat first, plays at home first. Could be seeded or unseeded.

They're the only real European regulars, last 12 years they've reached the Group Stages of Europe 8 times, so well experienced and probably comfortable and confident in Europe. The other 4 teams dont have much experience in Europe.

Just think of the fines Celtic would get if we drew Maccabi when all the Celtic supports put up their Palestinian flags :icon_mrgreen:

The results have went our way tonight, managed to avoid Bate, Apoel & Zagreb who would've all been much harder games than any of the unseeded teams.

Hopefully we get Skenderbeau (or however you spell it) because they've had an easy draw all the way to this point and I hadn't heard of them before tonight tbh:smiley-laughing002:

Would take any out of Tel Aviv, Skederbreu and Astana with malmo a bit behind. Partizan are definitely beatable but i'd avoid them if I was give the choice of one team not to draw.

Also don't think this is true. We need at least two of those things to happen.

Want to avoid Partizan and Malmo (although still think we can beat them). Astana would be tricky as * going to Kazakstan again.

We stand our chances against any of those teams!

I thought it worked that way only for the 1st to the 3rd round? When it came to the playoff round the seeded team were always at home second?

Apologies if I am wrong. :52:

Crazy. Some massive upsets tonight and last night.

Steaua, Plzen and Salzburg all out tonight along with Ajax last night.

All of that helps Celtic get to that fabled Pot 3 section.

We should be able to knock out all those teams.

I think malmö might be the toughest, They won 3-0 over salzburg today.

The draw is this Friday at 11am UK time.
The games are played on 18/19 August and 25/26 August.

We will, if play offs results go by current rankings, be in pot 4

I think now we are guaranteed European football it takes a bit of pressure off the whole playing staff. I think you will see a far better performance in the next round no matter who we get. Our stadium and past results in Europe will put the shiters up whoever we get. I'm looking forward to the playoffs.
