That last paragraph fried my nut..

 

McGregor has actually been half decent any time he has played this season.

He seems to suffer from the same affliction as Forrest, Izzy, Sammy et al that no matter what they do any more they are going to get slaughtered by some people.

 

I rate McGregor always have. Not as a starter but hes a useful player to have in the squad. On one hand people * about bringing through youth and on the other hand Forrest and McGregor get pelters while Derk gets a free ride.

 

Not just this season but when he returned from the wilderness last season around February or something even though he didnt play that much near the end of last season whenever he did he played quite well, same as he's done this season.

I slaughtered him at the start of last season as he is not a winger and shouldnt have been playing. I was raging and would have seen him punted no bother in January but he returned fitter, quicker and better in the 2nd half of last season and then this season in centre-mid he's looked comfortable and played well anytime hes been on the park.

 

McGregor is *..

 

McGregor is like a shiter, but more mobile version of Commons.. not really my cup of tea.

GMS needs to get his act together, doesn't seem like he's strong enough mentally to be playing for Celtic. He's been very bad since August now, thats way too long, especially for a player whose supposed to be one of our more creative and "exciting" players. Really annoyed at how he's progressed because when he came in last season he was great.

 

I think if he went and played for another SPL team he would be one of the best players in the SPL if not the outright best of all the diddy teams, he has good technique and is an intelligent player who can score goals.

He should leave us though as he'll never get a game in the hole and he's not suited to the 2 sitting positions.

His best position is centre-mid of a 3-man midfield with a holding player behind which we never play.

 

He probably would but that doesn't mean much...the top flight is littered with boy's who never made the grade here..

I just can't really take to him. Does wee sprint's and barely moves 5 yard's cause his tiny legs can't cope..

Shoulda punted him to Wolves for over a mill. Instead we offered him a 5 year deal

 

A lot of people have him pinned as a wide player or attacking midfielder though but I think he is more of a centre-mid.

For our youth teams he used to play wide, up front or in the hole or centre-mid but he probably played best at centre-mid im pretty sure I mind he scored a hat-trick in a Cup final from centre-mid.

Same as many had McGeouch as a winger when he is also a centre-mid.

 

I think you are spot on here. Part of a 3 man CM is his best position.

He isn't going to get that here and frankly he probably isn't good enough, then again neither are a lot of players these days.

He does have some qualities though and isn't half as bad as some make him out to be.

 

McGregor is gash.

 

He was excellent for Notts County in that role and to be fair he was quality for that short spell last year at the start of the season on the wing but our team was complete * at that period..

McGeough was never a winger as well, I agree. Both should be at the tip of a 3 man midfield, wherever they are..

Dylan is/was a much better prospect and player for me...much better..

 

A lot of people havent really seen the best of him though in his more natural position, he's not anywhere near as bad as some people make out.

He's a tidy passer and good in possession when played in the middle of the park rather than as one of the attacking players. Better version of McLean from Aberdeen i'd say.

 

I remember the Inter home game thinking GMS and Armstrong were going to be great assets to the team and really looked the part, the rate at which they have gone backwards since that night is alarming and sort of mirrors the team in general.

A bit like Liverpool under Rogers, things have gone that stale its clearly time for a new direction, even Broony has been in the main pish this season bar a handful of games.

I fail to believe that so many decent enough players can turn so poor so quickly to be just an accident

 

If were selling one of McGregor or GMS then McGregor is the one I'd sell
