Im a really big fan of his. Great wee player who has had a good start to his Celtic career. Just lacking in confidence at the moment. No doubting his talent and skills. During the warm up hes always doing flicks and tricks and we are yet to see the best of him. Dont think his dip in form is a major concern. Good to have two pacey wingers like him and Forrest in the squad.

Really disappointing again today.. What's happened to him? He never tries anything different.

I think he should be given licence to try things, if it doesn't work then who cares? That's why we have 2 holding midfielders and 2 full backs.

He's got far more in his locker than he's showing. He doesn't have to beat 3 men and stick it in the bottom corner every time but he should be getting isolated with the full back and encouraged to beat him and get his cross in.

Totally agree mate. We have him on a leash for some reason.

    Agreed.

I heard about how tricky and skillfull he was when he arrived.

Looks weak, unimaginative and hasn't impressed.
Stuart Armstrong looks by far the superior signing.
I thought it was other way at first.

    I stand corrected.
Armstrong Looking like an integral part of our squad throughout the season.

Can't see how GMS ever gets the nod ahead of commons.

Didn't like what I saw today. It looked like he wasn't trying. Made more evident in the last 10 minutes when he decided he wanted to take part..

I like the wee man, he's a player but I didn't like that today at all. Dunno what's happening but he needs to sort himself out..

Similar to previous posts, I want him to be given more of a license to show what he can do.

I think he is always in two minds and has the defensive duties at the back of his mind. Just needs to 'express' himself.

I'm sure Ronny hasn't suddenly said, keep it simple and focus on tracking back. He was on fire in pre season so Ronny, i'm sure, woulda been just asking for much the same..

He said in pre season that he was settling in last year so held back a touch on the skills, but would be showing much more this year. He's not trying anything and today I am questioning his attitude and commitment..

He's faded away since pre-season. My Utd mates warned me that he's hot and cold, after his start last season I thought they must have been talking pish but this seems to be the way of it. Today looked to me like someone who had their mind on Tuesday. Never threatened and Janko did more damage to Dixon than GMS did! Look at Connolly when he came on for them and Allan with us, wanted the ball constantly and went at people. As you guys say, maybe other duties are hindering his freedom to try stuff.

Just needs to play through this rough patch, was always going to happen he's a winger. If anything I think he's trying to do too much, always trying to get past everyone instead of keeping it simple at times.

He bursts a gut every game you can see he gets knackered so maybe when his fitness level gets up his form will come back as well. He's never been a consistent player, hopefully will step up with Forrest back to his best.

Needs a bit more strength about him being brushed aside too easily but will show his talent in games to come

Still think he's carrying some minor niggle.

He's just not that great TBH. He has a bit of skill, but nothing special. He has a bit of pace, but nothing special (compare Forrest in that regard). He works hard defensively and generally shows a good attitude.

Decent squad player IMO, nothing more.

Even after their first few games, I was far more excited by Armstrong, who is a very intelligent player.

I think as he gains more experience, we'll see more consistent performances from him.

GMS looked the better player in preseason, now it's Armstrong. i'm guessing they'll both be inconsistent for a while.

My only problem with him is he dosent seem to be able to play on the left wing which is weird as he is left footed

He has more than 'a bit of skill' he has everything in his locker in terms of dribbling.

Only 2 guys I can think of through my time as a Celtic fan who had more in their locker (other than pure pace) are Aiden and DiCanio.

He's already shown it for Celtic he just hasn't done it consistently. Yet.
