Trinity by Leon Uris must feature on this list, surely.

Not really a fan of James Joyce but "Dubliners" truly is a classic.

Also "The Great Gatsby" by F Scott Fitzgerald.

Murdi - Docherty by McIlvannie is a great book, may bring back some memories for older members.

Whoever recommended Anna Korenna, i much prefer War and Peace, but Tolstoy for me is the greatest novelist of all time.

I'm going to recommend Lanark by Alasdair Gray. In my humble opinion the greatest Scottish novel of all time. It divides opinion, people either love it or hate it but it blew me away.

Also anyhting by Hemingway, Mailer, Graham Greene or Gore Vidal.

The Celtic Song so long as Dean Park doesn't sing it.
Well if you enjoyed the novel I suggest you read his source "The Holy Blood and Holy Grail" cannot remember the two authors, I read this many years ago and I am guessing here but I believe it goes into more depth and alleged research than that of Dan Brownes book. Without even reading The Da Vinci Code and going on the reviews and the film I am amazed he escaped from being confirmed as a plagiarist, the source is a load of hooey too and enjoyable but I am sure it is a better read by far.
