I think wanting the manager sacked would constitute complaining.

That is complaining in general but not complaining about the position we're in. It's down right * stupid but still not complaining about the position we find ourselves in coming upto Christmas.

It's complaining but it's not complaining. If someone wants the manager sacked, you don't think they are unhappy with the position we find ourselves in?

Digging up Forrest for a defensive mistake nearly 2 and a half years ago. You always supported the wee man, always thought he was a good player.

    I'm onto you Devleone. :smiley-laughing002:

Nah, there's a difference mate. We've always had fuds on here calling for managers heads and that is complaining but nobody is unhappy we're top of the league, in two cups and still in Europe. That's what I was getting at.

Wasn't digging Forrest either, it was just an example of what he needs to not do. Two and a half years later he still does it, I want him to improve, he's a cracking wee player but that doesn't mean he can't improve.

If you want the manager sacked, then I think it's fair to assume you aren't happy with where we are at present.

Not the way I'm reading it but fair enough.

People seem to be more worried about the future rather than what we are doing now. It's why the Huns not being in the league keeps getting brought up and that is bullshit.

Anybody mentioning the Huns in this needs to come back into the real world. We are talking about a club on the brink, and one that will be lucky to be able to compete with us ever again, barring a monumental collapse from us, and that is still assuming that they haven't gone into the abyss, which could quite easily happen. We have improved massively over the past few months in my opinion, and we are now seeing what Deila wants from the team I feel.

Sunday was a blip in what has been a very good run of form domestically, and we still had more than enough chances as win the game comfortably. We still might have won the game if Ambrose hadn't been in the team, who was at fault for both goals in my opinion, although Forrest deserves criticism for the 2nd as well. The toys have well and truly come out the pram from some on here after Sunday, and it's almost like these people have been desperate for us to slip up so they can get back to moaning. We have played far worse this season and won games compared with Sunday.

I agree with that mate and I'm probably one of the people that's viewed as throwing the toys out of the pram. I think we are moving forward as well, we are getting there, we are seeing what he's wanting to implement.

I still think we're right to have concerns though because there is a lot of holes to pick in the team, doesn't mean there hasn't been a lot of positives.

I must hold my hands up and say for years I wanted celtic to adapt a more european style of football and go 1 up top, but I hate to say that I don't think its works in the spl, it worked so well for neil lennon as commons was giving the freedom to play just off the striker, were as RD wants the player in the role, to also help out defensively and I don't think commons does that part of the game as well as johanson, but on the other hand I don't think johanson is as good as commons playing off the striker.

No doubt about it that we still need to get better, but I'm happy with what I've been watching over the past month or two. You only have to look at how many chances we are now creating in games to see a massive improvement, because early in the season, we struggled badly in that regard. We need to start converting our chances though. It nearly come back to bite us on the * against both Partick and Motherwell, and it did cost us on Sunday. Although Ambrose played a major role in our defeat on Sunday.

You know I'd be happy if we showed ourselves just solid at the back and defended as a team. We create chances anyway, even if we miss most of them we should score at least 1 or 2.

We need to show a bit of defensive steel and determination.

would we???? we would have an extra defender, just now both full backs are going forward most of the time, leaving the 2 centre halfs, in that formation we would have 3 centre halfs, plus the 2 protecting, would like to see it at home

I agree, but we didn't lose on Sunday because we didn't defend well as a unit, it was down to individual errors. The first goal is just Ambrose all over for me, it's a complete shocker, then his attempted pass back to Gordon which put us on the back foot for their 2nd is another Sunday League mistake.

The first goal was shocking all round, Johansen slack in midfield, Izzy out of position, Ambrose being Ambrose and Gordon should have saved it for me. All round * up.

The 2nd wasn't defending as a team, the responsibility to follow Armstrong was passed onto Forrest who didn't follow him, it was passed on because Ambrose and Van Dijk were in no mans land.

We've defended like that all season.

Ambrose has had a fresh air swipe mate! Johansen's pass is poor, but poor passes are expected during games, complete fresh air swipes though, embarrassing. If Ambrose doesn't shell an attempted pass back into row z, then we could have started an attack, instead he put us on the back foot. Mulgrew and Denayer would both be picked ahead of him for me, unfortunately both are injured.

I know, biggest majority of that goal goes to Ambrose but the defending as a whole as been generally shocking all season and that's no different even though the biggest part was down to an individual error.

Slack passes happen, I'm not slating him for it, it's not even part of the defending. It's our reaction to that, that annoys me.

I don't think anyone can say the defence has been up to scratch this season. It's time to start O'Connell ahead of Ambrose.
