It does not mean * all. I want to see celtic win. More than that though i want to see one bit of evidence that will prove me wrong about him.

I honestly think that we are winning despite of him rather than because of him. We must be the easiest team in europe to prepare for. Same stupid shape everygame. This algorithm will beat us against any team with quality:

Gameplan let them have the ball
Let their full backs push up
    Keep it tight
    Win ball
    Fast counter attack
    Goal
    Repeat

I think that would be a good idea if the KO stage wasn't two months away. It's just hard for a team like Celtic to get that kind of practice in before it really counts.

To be honest we have been winning games under him but by no means is it comfortable or good to watch strachan and Lennon at times had to grind out a result here there but it seems to be we have to do this every week now struggling 1 0s or 2 1s strachans and Lennons team at least 4 out of 6 games we won comfortable and 3 out the 6 it was good passing and good attacking football

Look, all I'm saying is that this match is not one to judge him by. It doesn't count for much and key players were rested. If Brown, Stokes and Forrest had started I think you'd see a different result. We definitely would have seen a different result with Lustig, Matthews cost us the game.

I didn't see the last Salzburg game, but I gather we had a shock start, but played well for the last 70 minutes and dominated the 2nd half? If we can play like that then we have a fighting chance in the round of 32.

I really do want him to succeed and I think he might well turn it around if he gets these players that suit his style a little more perhaps ... but the worrying thing is the lack of a plan b when things aren't going our way. WGS and Lennon made Celtic Park a fortress to come to when they were in charge ... no team went there and had a comfortable night but I just don't have that feeling with Deila yet and I hope I'm wrong about it and he does turn us in to a wonderful attacking team that can compete at a european level... but as of right now I don't see enough

Lennon and Strachan played good, passing football? Well that's not true, is it? The football under Lennon was * and Strachan was hounded out due to his style.

Its not what we had hoped for but its not nearly as bad as some of you are making it out to be considering the playing staff we have on hand

How many competitions were we in at this stage last season? How many are we in just now? Give me the start we have had this year's over the last one any day of the week.

He should be embarrassed at putting a team out that is so horrific defensively. Time after time we are shameful at the back. We are going to get a real hiding in the knockouts if it isn't rectified. The amount of goals we have conceded in Europe is cringeworthy.

I'd take Champions League over Europa 10 times out of 10.

So we need a decent number leaving!!!!! we will probably lose Guiddeti, Van *, Commons and maybe Griffiths in January, so lets get rid of all the * that went undefeated bar one game in the league last year, that won the league by 30 points, that went a record number of minutes without conceding a goal, aye right, give Ronnie more time and he can really * us up!!!!!! can nobody else see how far backwards we have gone, we labour to beat pish teams in the SPL and get ripped apart in Europe and this is the poorest SPL for a long time, no Hearts no Hibs and no sevco, we are winning the SPL not because of Ronny but in spite of him, the job is just far too big for him, i repeat we have gone massively backwards.

  13. I think we are the same age, if not similar. Growing up during MON's era, you knew that we would not die without a fight. It gave you heart and conviction that you could beat any team in Europe, despite the wage differences and all that goes with modern football.

I often think of Ronny Deila with a more modern Celtic side, but it is hard to envisage because those in charge have still not recognised him as a proper leader. I want to see the board make a big statement in January. As a third tier team, we need to move now. Qualification for next season is an imperative...now. If we don't have it in place in the 2 months, we're *.

At this stage last season. We were already knocked out of Europe by this stage last season. Not to mention being papped out of the league cup at home to a team bottom of the league below us, who would later go on to get relegated. When we raise a glass at New Year we will still be competing in 4 competitions.

Lennon's football was excellent. Loved watching Lenny's teams.

I'm not saying we won't be, I'm saying I'd much rather be in the Champions League than the Europa League.

I didn't enjoy last year's champions league campaign at all got to admit. 5 defeats out of 6, getting pumped off a very average ac Milan side at home, shipping 6 to barca, the shocking display away to Ajax. We were very fortunate to even get there in the first place, but then when we did we just looked so much out of our depth.

This season would of been a similar story I reckon, so the europa league will be a learning curve for the players to hopefully push on and get into the champions league next season.

Give me the position we're in this year compared to last, all day everyday.

Our home performances against Ajax and Barca and our away performance against Milan were far from embarrassing. Other three games we f&cking capitulated though, granted :smiley-laughing002:

Aye, the aim is being a Champions League mainstay. That's the only way we get money to improve on a bigger stage. This year it * us a bit but at least we're picking up co-efficient points in the Europa. We need Champions League money if we have any aspirations of improving as a team.

We played decent enough against Ajax, I'd say they'd of felt aggrieved to have not taken something from the game though. Barca was a good performance, but then broony lost the head, when it looked like we might have nicked it. Milan was the same, we played well, but lacked the cutting edge needed at that level. Something that guidetti will bring us, if he does sign permantly. The other 3 results/performances really were very dissapointing though.
