    Would agree about resting Johansen, although probably the fittest player in the squad he's barely missed a game since he signed.

    Would like to see Scepovic get a game and ive been impressed by Ambrose against Salzburg and Hearts. Also Ive always rated Bitton so hopefully he gets a game with Mulgrew still out and I would like to see Kayal given a run out however wouldn't be surprised to see Johansen or Stokes start in his place. Either way I want to see Deila try two up top Guidetti with either Scep or Griff and see if we can kick start a partnership.

    Was talking to someone in his family and they seem to think Ronny is looking to send him out onloan at some point, think Liam is obviously keen after seeing the good it done McGregor.

    I said at the start of the season that Ronny wouldn't be playing the youngsters once he realised the demands of the job.

    So many people laying into Lenny at the time and saying "at least Ronny will play the young guys who deserve a game".

    The sad fact is, most of our young players are not good enough for the first team (yet), Lenny knew it and now Ronny has found out for himself.

    I'm not neccesarily including Henderson in this but it is telling he can't even get on the bench these days.

    Well he hasn't kept playing him though has he, he was dropped for a while.

    And he's not really a youngster as such, just had a full season at senior level before coming back home.

    Just that some folk were convinced Ronny was going to come in and fill half our first team with these poor youngsters that big bad Lenny wouldn't give a chance to.

    The reality is that most of them aren't up to it. Yet...

    He's only missed 4 out of our 28 games this season according to wiki so he has been an ever present in the team. Granted he is a little older and more experienced than the likes of Henderson.


    I think all fans want to see is these young guys given a chance and if they're not up to it then fair enough.

    I want to see them too mate, but managers aren't going to stake their job and reputation on playing young players who aren't good enough. Remember, Lenny and now Ronny will see these players in training a lot and will already be aware of their strengths and weaknesses. If they were as good as a VVD or a Guidetti they would be in the team.

    Fans wanting to see how good our young players are is not really a good enough reason to select. The manager should not be under pressure to pick players based on what fans want. If there not up to it I would rather not see them in the team.

    Looks quite a dramatic change, but all it is is giving Izzy and Johansen a rest and starting O'Connell over Ambrose.
