We sunk to their level in 2nd half and never upped the tempo till Forrest came on, if it wasn't for the ref would of been 4/5 and at least 1 red. Though the pitch is largely to blame, not making excuses but did you see Virgils slide on Miller? Took up half the pitch with him * ridiculous. Take the win and the final and don't need to listen to this old firm * again.

They didn't manage a shot on goal. We're through to the final & the treble is still on. Sure, I would have loved to humiliate them but to say it's not good enough from Ronny is madness. That team was not set up to be cautious.

We'll get done for flares, smoke bombs and fireworks, * all will happen to them. Was there even any arrests? * * saying Billy Boys is banned, first song they sing!?

There was never any doubt they were going to be singing the BB. I'm glad they sang it (if they get a fine). Their little shitebag tribute act club can't afford the fines.

Slaw(I feel daft calling you that coz it's obviously no your name. Unless it is? That would be weird! lol) Yeah you're right to say that they never had a single shot at goal, so from that point of view yeah we did dominate the game.

But the fact that they couldn't even manage a single shot at goal just proves how * rank they are. So it make 2-0 look like a worse scoreline. If that makes sense? They couldn't even manage a shot, never mind an attack so we should have been throwing everyone forward and tried to take as many goals aff them as we could. We didn't do that. The whole second half we just passed the ball about and settled for what we had. Does Ronny no understand that the fans wanted to slaughter them today? Do the players no understand that??

We were all looking for 4 or 5 goals in this match and we totally could have done that. But we never really pushed for it. That's the bit that pees me off.

True, wonder how the media will spin it tomorrow, how they wanted this game and then all that hate filled * they sang, not one song about their sad pathetic club.

I only heard Soldiers Song and Fields of Athenry, brilliant again that we never stoop to their scummy level.

Slaw Slawski nice to meet you :86:

I totally understand where you're coming from mate, and I think we all have a bit of that feeling left inside us after that game.

However, I think (although I can only speak for myself) , most of us realised after that game that they're simply not worth it. We a went into that game with an 'old firm' expectation or feeling to the game, despite knowing they were * and knowing they are a new club.

After the game I just felt that, somehow, that 2-0 win was just as sweet as if we had trounced them 6-0. The fact that we weren't arsed pumping them was enough for me. It was like us saying 'you're not the same club, we don't give a * about ye, we just want to be in the final.'

It's hard to explain exactly what I mean on this but I'm doing my level best :smiley-laughing002:

I guess what I'm trying to say is, if we had beaten them 6-0 or so, great as it would have been to get it up them, it wasn't necessary because they're not Rangers. They're Sevco from the Scottish Championship.

I don't even say that as a sly dig. I honestly cannot see that club as Rangers whatsoever. Before the game I called them Sevco but they still sort of felt a bit like Rangers to me. They don't any more, they're on their knees and they'll be bust again soon. Sooner we forget about them the better.

I get why you're not quite satisfied with the score line. But just enjoy the fact we proved we are several levels above them and are now in the League Cup final and well on track for the treble.

Slaw Slawski? Nice to meet you. Always enjoy meeting Polish folks. :50:

I've been saying for ages on here that I don't see them as Rangers anymore, they're Sevco to me. But today was always going to be the acid test. I always wondered if I would wake up this morning and have the same "Old Firm" butterflies I used to get. I honestly didn't. I slept like a log and had a good breakfast before I went out the door. I could never do that when we were playing Rangers, I was too hyper.

Today was just numb for me. It was like playing Hibs or Falkirk. They are just so not a threat to us, I KNEW we were going to win. Dunno what else to say about it. For me, Rangers really ARE dead. I didn't want to play Sevco today and I hope we never play them again.

Exactly mate, so we'll take the 2-0 win with them not having a single shot in the whole 90 minutes and move on with our season. That is genuinely the easiest cup semi final we are ever likely to play, regardless of what the score might or might not suggest.

    I'm not picky.
Half happy and half bit disappointed to be honest. Happy we beat the * but disappointed it wasn't by more goals. The win was the main thing, of course, and we got that but they were there for the taking. We just seemed to take our foot off the gas in the 2nd half. Why...who knows, but we absolutely strolled the game and never got out of 3rd gear, which I suppose makes it more disappointing we never got more goals. We were well more than capable. They had ONE shot for the full 90 minutes and that was a weak attempt that went a few feet over our bar. I'm happy we got the deserved win, though, and now hopefully it'll be a good game against United.

As for the pitch, well, I'm sure it's been said plenty of times before, but for a national stadium's pitch to cut up as easily as that and look as bad as it did, was a disgrace. I mean that sliding tackle by van Dijk on Miller....he almost cut a trench out for Christ sake.

The referee, well, he was pathetic as usual. Consistently inconsistent, and was an absolute ridiculous decision to pull the ball back for the foul on Broony when he should have allowed advantage. Lustig getting booked for his foul yet not even a talking to for Elbows for his deliberate elbow into the back of the head to one of our players (can't remember who it was...Johansen?). Black hitting the deck any time he was touched as well.

Anyway, glad the game is done with now. The orcs had their wee day out against the best team in Scotland...they've had their wee moment so now they can * off back to the Championship. Hopefully they will cease to by the end of the season.
