Just watching MOTD and thinking how much we'd have pumped them on a decent pitch. Arsenal knocking it about for fun on the Emirates surface.

I see it's been picked up on already, but why the * did our fans sit back and let them sing that bile unopposed for the majority of the second half?

I get that this was their big day out against the biggest club in Scotland, but I was admittedly disappointed that there was hardly anything from our fans in the second half.

We outsung them in the first half undoubtedly, before the match kicked off and even before Leigh scored, but our supporters just seemed to be bored in the second half, whereas theirs were simply singing out of defiance, as the Celtic fans themselves have done so many times.

It might have been due to the fact that the game was over as a contest so early, but annoying nonetheless.

Aye that did annoy me as well.

Some of the stuff they sing, incredible. Grown men sitting singing that in their thousands.

No doubt nothing will be said about it.

I was hoping for Roll of Honour. Nothing beats that with a full crowd belting it. Shuts them up every time.

Might've sounded different on the TV but apart from a 5-10 minute spell they were fairly quiet throughout. We were louder but I think we were quite simply bored in the 2nd half, waiting for a 3rd goal. To be honest I thought Celtic were poor. Still, atmosphere was fantastic.

Aye they go on about being 'obsessed' yet everyone of their songs is about us or involves 'fenians' in some way or another

Piece in the guardian was at least critical of their fans & their team in general.

Deila had withdrawn the lively Griffiths, replacing him with the on-loan Manchester City forward John Guidetti. That represented an act of mercy towards Rangers; following a prolific scoring run, Guidetti has gone off the boil. The clamour for Celtic to make the Swede’s contract a permanent one has, understandably, died down.

The response of the Rangers support to what unfolded was loud defiance. They did not leave the ground, and nor was there audible criticism of their team. In many ways that is admirable but the occasional choice of verse was not.

The Billy Boys, Famine Song and No Pope of Rome were bellowed out by the blue-and-white masses in what proved a disappointing throwback to the times when Rangers attracted attention for all the wrong reasons. Those embattled and embittered fans do not care about that as, history tells us, the same is the case with Scotland’s policing and football authorities. Offensive songs are treated by officialdom as a footnote, with varying degrees of unacceptable conduct from both halves of the Old Firm followings reacted to by the immediate pointing of fingers towards the other side.

By full-time, Celtic’s supporters were treated to fist-pumping by Deila and a lap of honour. Even that seemed very contrived – the culmination an occasion which merely endorsed the disparity between two teams while offering little insight as to how strong Celtic actually are. Thankfully for anybody who enjoys genuine sporting contests, Dundee United should provide a sterner test in the final.

Both sides will probably get an equal fine because I think we sang the Celtic Symphony. Wasn't at the ground so don't know if we sang 'up the ra' or not.

Ciftci is out of the final. 2 yellows in last 2 games of league cup. This can only be good for us.

I never thought I would see the day where beating those scummy, mutant, zombie * 2-0 would leave me feeling disappointed but yesterday was that day. We were * pathetic. The second half of that match would have put the most sleepless man into the land of nod. Sevco were happy to get out of there with a 2-0 defeat, it kept their 'dignity' intact. I understand that. But what I don't understand is why we settled for 2-0. And we * did!

We never went for 3 or 4. Never went for the jugular. I said on here all last week that Sevco are * * and they proved me right big time. Did we show them up for the shower of * they are? Did we *.

I probably sound like a spoiled brat for * about a 2-0 win but I'm sorry that's really how I feel. We had a golden opportunity to slaughter those * and put them back in their box once and for all. We wasted that chance. A 2-0 win doesn't heap the embarrassment on them that they should have suffered. We failed, even though we won.

Ronny Deila went down in my estimation yesterday. WAY too cautious. All that talk about beating teams 4, 5 or 6 nothing is hot air. We went 2 up and settled. Sorry Ronny, not good enough pal.

    Mark that is nonsense.

Sure we didn't pump them silly, but we absolutely strolled the game. They didn't have a single shot in the whole match. Not one.

Don't get me wrong, I agree we were all wanting to pump them 5 or 6-0, but Deila decided not to go all out for that. So what? We still embarrassed them in my opinion. We showed them up for the absolute * they are.

I can't take anyone seriously who is actually having a go at Deila after strolling that game with such absolute ease. We're in the final. Sevco are now irrelevant to us once again. Don't forget the pitch was in absolute tatters and so we couldnt play the free flowing football we wanted to.
