Can't wait for the final whistle tomorrow when we've won so I don't need to here all the 'old firm returns' tripe for a while. At first it was funny to see the delusion but now it's boring and I've had enough of hearing it.

Why though? I thought this was a completely new team? No history and suchlike?

They aren't "Rangers", are they? So why should we give more of a * than we would if we were playing Accies?

the groundsmen at Hampden need the sack, this is possibly the second or third game played on the pitch since it was relayed? How can it be cutting up already?

Well, which is it? For months now we've heard people say that they'd be happy to never play them again, that it's not even the same club, there's no more rivalry and so on.

Yet interest in this match suggests otherwise. All of a sudden a loss in this game is reason enough to see the manager fired and the Chief Executive "hounded out".

Looking forward to tomorrow. Great chance to get to our first final under Ronny, and I'm sure the atmosphere inside the ground will be great. It's a big occasion and it'll do some of our players a lot of good playing in this kind of fixture.

I did worry for a while about us taking the game lightly, but I think there are enough people at the club who will make sure that doesn't happen. They will know how much the games against Rangers meant in the past, and this is really no different - new club or not.

Gordon; Lustig, Denayer, Van Dijk, Izaguirre; Brown, Bitton; Commons, Johansen, Stokes; Guidetti/Griffiths.

Not so long ago Guidetti would have been a surefire starter in this game. Bang in form, big character, potential talisman. But he's gone off the boil a bit and I'd be tempted to throw Griffiths into the mix.

The majority of those players, I don't worry about. Izaguirre, Brown, Commons and Stokes have all played in these games before - so they know what it's all about. Gordon, Lustig, Van Dijk, Johansen, Guidetti and Griffiths are all experienced players with good mentality, so they'll be fine.

I worry a little bit about Denayer and Bitton. Particularly Bitton. If he can find space in the midfield, his class will tell. But if people get in his face, shut him down and make it physical contest, I'm not sure how he'll hold up.I'd much rather have had Kayal in the side for that reason.

Pitch cutting up something fierce. Only benefits one side.

Obvious what way tomorrow is going to go.

But Hampden only recently re-opened after being put out of action following the commonwealth games. So an entire new pitch was laid in the last couple of months I'm guessing?

    Got to go attacking
    Gordon
    Lustig Denayer Virgil Izzy
    Brown Bitton
    Johansen
    Commons Stokes
    Griffiths

    or
    Brown Johansen
    Commons Stokes
    Griffiths Guidetti
4-2-4 with commons and Stokes as inside forwards and full backs bombing forward.
