Dodgy Scottish Cup draws?

So what happens if we win at Tannadice? The SFA reinstate Aberdeen and draw us away at Pittodrie in the next round??

In all seriousness, it's taking the * now how often we're drawn away from home in this competition.

 

Would rather United at Tannadice than united at the morgue with its fermers field of a pitch.

 

the draws got me thinking i watched road to seville the other night every tie we got we got home tie first is that not dodgy

 

It's only dodgy if we lose..

 

did actually make me think every single tie we started at home what was the odds on that

Are most of them not due to seedings though?

Like even against Barcelona and Villarreal in 2004 and Inter this season we've been away from home. Infact I dont think we've played an Away Leg first in a match past Christmas in the modern era - mostly due to seedings as we are always unseeded.

It would be good if we could get Hibs in the final.
That way we will know whether Hibs will be back in top divison the next season and party time all round as, if that is the case then we know the huns have either died or failed to get up to top division.

 

As far as I can see, although there was seedings it didn't affect who was at home first, so it was random.

 

That only matters in CL last 16 and EL last 32, although the draw for the EL has been done differently this season so it may be seeds away first for the EL last 16 also.

Seville was just luck of the draw.

 

Now that we have them away it eould be 15 away ties out of 17

There's no seeding in the last 16 of the EL

 

There hasn't been and it hasn't been possible for logistical reasons. There was nothing to stop them doing it this year though was more my point!

All in an open draw is the way it should be.

Not including semi finals at neutral venues or the finals so far Celtic have competed in 401 Scottish Cup ties since Celtic's inception

195 were away from home
206 were at Celtic Park

The draw against Dundee Utd at Tannadice makes it 196 away ties to 206 home ties.

 

Rigged or otherwise, we should turn them over without too much trouble.

It's a nice idea that there is any competition in Scottish football but In reality, no team in the draw should be giving us problems.

 

Our away support is better than the home support these days apart from the big games, maybe they're doing it to actually improve our chances.

I said to my son on Sunday night it will be either ICV or Dundee United away, so am I paranoid, I don't think so.

It simply down to the fact that I don't trust " The Establishment within the SFA ", they hate the thought of Celtic getting it easy or us winning the treble.

The draw won't matter this season, Celtic will run over Dundee United three times in three games, the treble is ours !!!

 

Yeh these away draws are beginning to reek but I really don't think this draw matters, if we eliminate the next best team in the competition then the Scottish cup will probably be ours. This really our final !
