Manchester United - Celtic

Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by Barca99, Oct 31, 2007.

  1. He played for Rangers? he is a * hun, would he have pulled the McLair or Miller stunt on the Rangers. He was in the Rangers news in the last couple of years giving his opinion on the way forward.
As for 'Sir' * that, * the aristocracy.

  2. I personally dont like any team thats not The Celtic Fc, individual fans are different. what I find worse is the fact that matt busby was given a knighthood almost immediatley after utd became the 2nd british team to win the european cup in 68. Big Jock, the FIRST manager of the FIRST british team to win it was given an m.b * e some time later. Scandalous. Absolutely * Stinks. Sorry if im going off the topic slightly.

  3. You asked what we thought and most people on here said they were *.
Now you've had the answer, so * off now. This is a Celtic website. We don't give a fiddler's fart about Manure.

  4. I like United.Don't worry Barca99 we don't hate all hate you! They are my team in England.

  5. Just because we're the best fans in the world, officially awarded by Eufa and Fifa, 80,000+ in seville, support our team with more fans in a friendly than most your average premiership attendances, make more noise than most lower premiership teams fans put together, and have an unbelievably unique, passionate, unrivalled, unrepentant, and defiant love of Celtic Fc doesnt mean we have to like other teams. Hail Hail.

  6. Used to like them when I was 8, they're that kind of club if you know what I mean.

Don't dislike them, they play some amazin football and im sure not all they're fans are glory hunters or arrogant arseholes, obvioiusly they have some Workin class folk that have followed them from day one for generations - can't do anything bout the glory hunters following them.

Arsenal at the moment are the English team I like to watch though, top class.

Other than that I don't like the English league/teams @ all. So up their own *.

  7. Fair comment mate.

To be fair to Man U they have had some fantastic players over the years and they do try and play good football. I'd back them before Chelsea any day.

  8. Fair comment Martin.
    Chelsea=Linfield=Rangers

  9. lol poor guy iis coming on saying that he likes us and thinks there are some simialarities between our clubs and everyone is jumping down his throat.. bit jody marsh

  10. He did ask what we thought.

  11. I'm a Villa and Celtic fan so I really hate United as a club, and the glory hunters that follow it. The ONLY United fans I'd give the time of day to are those that actually support there team (Preferabley born in Manchester!) I'm sick of Brum being full of United and Chelsea fans nowadays!

  12. Hark now Hear the City sing, United ran away........

anyway, im a season ticket holder at CP and born and bred mancunian. this attitude that real United fans from Manchester/Salford are the salt of the earth is utter pish.

there just as bad as the rest of them, no hang on there worse. there even more arrogant because they think there better than everyone.

i have been brought up with em and they never give me the time of day for being a Celt.

and this Man u - Celtic connection is bollocks, your clubs just likes are because we bring shed loads of cash to them.

also this city - rangers connection is bollocks to as city are a catholic club, the was started by St Marks RC church in gorton.

i like the united team you have lots of great players but they are overshadowed by scum like Neville, rio and rooney.

i hope that City * you in feb, i love derby day in manchester when city win the whole city is buzzing and them virgin trains back to the south are very quiet, bit like your home games.

the theatre of silence........ SSSSHHHHHHHH im trying to watch the game

  13. I agree. I dont think today there is a lot of similarity but Celtic and Man U are THE two British clubs with that special touch of myth and star quality and sense of history. I dont support them now but I did once before money tarrnished it for me. My first English team was Leeds.

  14. disagree. Fergie is a Scottish legend and a very decent man although hard as nails. Not only did he marry a catholic but his family were partly catholic and his dad and brother were Celtic supporters. He was a Rangers player and he supports them but he was never a bigot.

  15. There's a book out at the moment called Celtic United which highlights the similarities between both clubs and fans,,Some guy called Worral..

  16. I said he was a hun Keltoi, not a bigot. As for being a Scotland legend, so what. There are a lot of ex rangers players who are scotland legends, and i don't like them.
As for the catholic thing, why bring religion into it?

  17. Problem is everyone means something different by the word Hun. Sometime it just means Rangers player/ sipporter (which is fine), sometimes its extended to Hearts and Killie so it clearly means more than that. Some lunatics call Inverness Caley Highland huns and therefore seem to extend it to almost all teams. Others call people huns because they are unionists or very protestant regardless of what teaa they support. I think its a problem word. Some peoples use of it is unnacceptable.

  18. I like man u, they have always been my 2nd team. My Da supports them, he supported them back when they were in the 2nd division so i doubht u could call him a glory hunter. Supose it was his influence on me that made me support them too. Don't get me wrong i love celtic as much as any supporter, but there are a few similarities between the clubs, i just feel in recent years the whole money element in OT, and man u being more of a franchise now has ruined it.

Hate Man U , Always have
