Nah mate it's not me it's the missus she works in the retail, im at uni.
Yeah public transport. Whats Bishopbriggs like itself? Seems to have good regular transport back in to Glasgow and every time i've been up that way it looks nice enough, just not sure if there are any hidden rough areas in and around it?

    Bishy is nice.

Think it's a bit expensive though, as well as Lenzie and that.

Riddrie is a great area, but cheap? No if he's private letting it isn't. In fact, it's usually on the higher scale of private pricing.

Pretty sure the council tax band is B and C as well, so even that's dearer.

Private lets I've saw round there are about £350 a month, can't get much better than that. Not factored council tax into that though right enough.

Hidden rough areas everywhere ye go tbh.

As i said, there's some decent bits in Springburn (as well as some horrendous lol) - avoid Possil like the pleague if you're not originally from there!

Bishopbriggs and Kirkintilloch are alright to be fair, as longas you're not any where near the Milton end :56::56:

Mostly houses out that way I think, try around the edges of Lenzie, probably be a bit expensive but you might find a gem.

£350? Aye not bad - take it that was for 4 in a block type housing?

The ones I seen were usually around the (starting at) £400 p/m, one bedroom with tax band at C.

Sandstone flats round about there, just down from the off sales. Gemma stays about there, best sandstone flats in Glasgow I think, generally clean/don't smell of pish and is quiet.

Aye, I know the ones yer on about - they're spot on :50:

That whole area - Carntyne, Blackhill/Provanmill, Riddrie, Germiston I like all for the 4 in a block houses. Usually pretty smart tbh.

Has good transport into the town, bus plus theres the train, only takes 2 trains to get to Celtic Park(ish obviously 10/15 minute walk from wherever you want to get off).

Area it's self is quiet, no rough area at all. I live here and I also work here delivering parcels so I probably know the place better than anyone. :56: mostly all old people or families, not really many young people or young couples.

Blackhill's always been spot on mate, grew up there as well as down the road with my Gran living up there (still does) - are at the back has all been regenerated as well loadsa new builds (calling it Newfields :56::56:), plus yer onky a stonesthrow fae the likes a Stepps etc.

Barrowfield looks a bit better now with the new housing, but its the same manky roasters that live in them.

    Castlemilk's a shitehole anaw.........all of it!

Blackhills got a reputation from the 60's/70's/80's, that's why it gets a bad rep.

Aye some nice houses in Barrowfield but it's a * of a place. One way in one way out and last time I dropped somebody off there was about 20 odd wee boys with golf clubs guarding the * exit :56:

Ach ano, but it's only wee poofs fae like Bailleston and that who would have bother living in Blackhill in the 60's - 80's :56::56:

Did you manage to leave with your socks on your feet when you left Barrowfield? :56::56::56:
