I did something quite reasonable tonight too. I stayed on my own * forum and have absolutely no intention of joining a Dinamo Zagreb forum and laughing at them in my first post.

If you knew anything about Dinamo you'd know how many of us care very little about the results today compared to before. But for sure we're much more realistic and can admit if someone was better, even if the better team lost, which can happen in football you know.

 

Great win considering how well zagreb played , we are not playing as a team , to many times we were caught out of position in midfield , leaving them acres to run at our defence who where having to also adjust their positions as our midfield were missing, trying to halt their runs further up the park, in other words we are pushing to many forward in non threatening areas , but when we hit on the counter we don't get enough players forward or the decision making is poor.

 

Kayal for Johansen and, well...

Good win that we grounded out, our defence is stronger than some people try to suggest with Deneyer and Virgil two formidable centre backs, Ambrose starting to come onto a game at right back, and Izzyguire cutting out the basic mistakes. The balance of the team especially in midfield is still not right, Johansen after a poor first half looks much more comfortable in a 3 man midfield after Kayal came on,and he never stops motoring,but Tonev is still not really showing anything positive yet, but we have to got to be very happy with four points from two tough opening games, games I genuinely feared for us in too.

We are lucky they left thier shooting boots at home tonight. We were exposed at the back far too often and Ronny had us riding our luck. To see our defence all ball watching whilst Eduardo was left wide open was just shocking.

Ill take the win.....not convinced with Ronnys tactics however. On another day they could have done us for 2 or 3 goals if weren't for Gordon, MOTM in my opinion.
