Not looking for trouble but will fight if provoked?

Er, I suppose it´s the job of the police to look at scenarios but from our point of view, looks like there shouldn´t be any problems. Right? It´s not going to be like Legia, I mean.

I think they're being overly cautious because of the BBB'S reputation- but as far as I know Zagreb fans don't have any issues with us.

Cheers, but that's just bringing up:

Celtic FC v Dinamo Zagreb - Europa League, Celtic Park

     Published 01 October 2014

Celtic FC welcomes Dinamo Zagreb to Celtic Park on Thursday 2 October in the Europa League. Police Scotland will be looking to ensure that fans from both teams have a safe evening in Glasgow.

Chief Superintendent Andy Bates, Divisional Commander for Greater Glasgow, said today:

“This is undoubtedly a huge game for both teams. The tickets have been selling well, and we are expecting a large crowd on Thursday evening. Police officers will be working at the match, and they will be joined by colleagues from Croatian Police, who we have been liaising with closely, to deal with any issues that may arise.

We’ve been working very closely with both Celtic and Dinamo Zagreb, and we have some information that Croatian fans without tickets are planning to go to Celtic Park. The club have made it clear that fans without tickets will not be permitted entry to the stadium. We’ve also information that Croatian fans have been trying to buy tickets outwith their allocated seating area. Again the club have made it clear that Zagreb supporters will not be permitted entry to the ground unless they have valid tickets for their own allocated section.

I understand that Celtic fans and others have been approached by Zagreb supporters asking them to purchase ticket for them and I strongly discourage this.

We want to ensure that all fans from either side enjoy a safe, secure event. The usual rules apply, no alcohol will be permitted, if you are under the influence of alcohol you will not be allowed entry to the grounds. If you decide to participate in any type of disorder or violence you can expect yourself to come to the attention of the police.”

A spokesman for Celtic FC added:

“We would urge all supporters to follow the advice which has been given by both the Club and Police Scotland regarding the sale of tickets. Everyone at the Club is looking forward to Thursday’s match and we hope we enjoy another great European occasion at Celtic Park.”

Similar mate, I really couldn't sleep on Friday night as the anticipation of playing the mighty St Mirren at a footballing theatre in Paisley kept me wide awake all through the night. We should have gave up our European place - who wants to play different European opposition when we can focus on the 50th game in 2 years against the likes of Ross County and St Johnstone.

    Spot on !

I cant believe the level of dislike for a player whose "Misdeeds" include singing about Hearts, watching Hibs and allegedly punching his former manager , altho both deny this happened.

No pin-up and a bit wild/rambunctious but FFS give the bloke a chance

Loads of them in there already and on the street drinking but they all seem ok and just enjoying themselves

I can´t ever remember St Mirren being glamorous, maybe for Morton fans :)icon_mrgreen:), but there was a time when games against teams like Aberdeen, Dundee Utd, Hearts and Hibs were exciting and you really could lose sleep over them. I think the loss of excitement over these games, the lack of excitement about the EL and the complacency (misplaced as we saw!) before the CL qualifiers all come from the same source: an odd feeling that the CL is our real competition.

A player who sang about someone being a * refugee and who told a boy of Asian descent to go back home. You don't understand why a Celtic supporter, in particular, would find that offensive? Are you not all there?

    * me, man. Some of the people you find online.
