    Can't find the video to show yea but it was something on the news about players chosen Ireland over the north then a hun said Shay shouldn't be allowed play for the Republic

    Yeah the bit about Shay Given was a real laugh. Would really be best for everyone if we could just follow Rugby's lead and have one team. It would be interesting to see what kind of result a poll of people in the 6 counties would end up with in terms of the FAI and IFA merging and having just one national team and league. While it would not be a panacea there is no doubt it is what would be best overall for football in Ireland both at local and international level.

    I dont think Ireland will ever be able to produce good players regularly or have a good side at senior level again unless the youth set up is completely changed. The way it is now is honestly embarrassing.

    Shay Given is from Donegal. Donegal is in the Republic. Another mistake they made is saying Gibson is from Belfast, I'm sure he is from Derry.

    Aye but he seemed to know that but then said his birth certificate says Republic of Ireland on it so either he thinks the Irish are going in and doctoring Birth certificates or like I said he wants to re-draw the border.

    I suppose the other option is maybe he just ain't that bright.
