No, but everything Scottish seems to be a problem for you.

I didn't boo McGeady myself but I don't think those who did were being racist. It got off him off his game anyway.

Yes but Irish supporting Celtic fans are in an almost unique position. If you supported Man U or Liverpool etc you could easily have found yourself cheering on a hated rival or booing one of your own club players in say an Ireland v England game. Ireland supporting Celtic fans are in a very rare position. However, if you were supporting Ireland last night the Scotland team was full of Celts, ex-Celts etc. So it could easily have happend if there was a bad tackle Mulgrew, Broony etc

LOL Then why did you bring Irish republicanism into th thread when we had managed to go 117 pages without it being mentioned. What were you trying to achieve ? Genuinely don't get where you were going with it.

There is definately an element especially in the older tims with views stuck in the past who think every non-timin Scotland is an orange hun even though the orange lodge are about half a percent of the population and only about 1 percent of the population attends the bigot dome. Some people take the panto too seriously. Scotland today is a million miles away from a northern Ireland type tribal divide and 99 percent of the population dont want anything to do with the old orange-green stuff. We have a new Scotland emerging where we are trying to start a new country and many many of these people are tims. We have a positive future to focus on and all the chippy hatred belongs in the past.

McGeady was Irelands main threat and he chose Ireland over Scotland, I really don't know why its hard to understand him getting booed, even by Celtic fans supporting Scotland. Last night he was an opponent, so he got booed. Probably would have been outrage on here if Celtic supporting Scotland fans didn't give him a standing ovation had he scored.

If you think the singing of songs such as LTPS is just 'club *' then I'd suggest you may be supporting the wrong club.

Because I took your post to mean that you think that all Celtic fans have no Scottish identity. IMO today most Celtic fans will fell more Scottish than anything else although with a soft spot for Ireland. So, supporting Scotland is not a problem for them even if it does mean sometimes that our own club players are rivals for a day and even if it does mean that we have to cheer Rangers players playing for Scotland. This must happen to Irish and English fans of English clubs when there are international games and find their hated rival's players playing for their country or their loved club players playing against them. Seriously that happens all the time. I just dont understand why you think that an exception has to be made when Celtic or ex-Celtic players are playing against Scotland. I do get that being an Ireland and Celtic supporter means that is going to be very rare but for almost all other combinations of clubs and country support there are going to be moments where you have to put country about club. That is the point of international football and anyone who cannot bring themselves to do it should - and probably often do - avoid international football involving their country.

Maybe he has the worlds worst voice - have a funny feeling judging by his singing voice that he would have a squeaky high pitched singing voice and sound like Jimmy Somerville - not the image he is trying to project LOL

I remember some time ago their was a discussion on here about a player becoming a naturalised Scottish citizen. I do not remember anyone having a problem with the fact the player had no Scottish relatives and was not born in Scotland.

Take the scenario that Hooper stayed at Celtic did not get an England call how many here would have been against him declaring for Scotland. Truthful answers only.

On another point Aiden has only done what falls within FIFA guidelines. A rule that did not seem to be a problem before his decision. Moaning about this rule would be no different to complaining the offside rule is not fair because your defenders are slow and your attackers are fast.
