The majority I've met seem to be fine.

However, a few on here seem to have some sort of fantasy that Scotland is a bigoted shithole where Irishmen are hunted in the streets.

I'd take anyone else's word on this, but you've twisted a few peoples words and lied on this thread already.

 

I wouldn't say it's bollocks. I think there's a problem in parts of the central belt but to say that all of Scotland has an anti-Irish agenda wouldn't be accurate.

 

Most people accept that but you don't accept there is people booing them purely because it's for Ireland they are playing for

I don't mind the Scotland fans booing them they're two good players. The problem is that you'll get a few calling them * *, taigs, beadrattlers etc.

Yes, fair enough. He was. But as I have said, from Perth to the top of Scotland there is no problem. So it isn't the whole of Scotland.

They'd be booed if they were playing for Wales, or England, or Italy for that matter. And the vast majority will be doing so because they they're good players that could have made a real impact playing for Scotland. If they played in League Two or something nobody would give a *.

I used wikipedia to show he had caps for Scotland at youth level.

If there was such a problem with people hating players simply because they chose Ireland, then people would know about him and care.

It just strengthens the argument that they will be booed because they are good players.

People give a * about McGeady and McCarthy because they are good players and a loss to Scotland. People don't give a * about Pearce because he is * and absolutely no loss to Scotland.

 

I am afraid you read too much into my post. Derrybhoy is an Irish fan as you will find all of the posters on here from the 6 counties are(I hope). This again is what I posted "Derry is in Ireland in case you did not know the city by that name" If anything the highlighted part should have illicited a retort

The responce I want from you is regarding the various Scottish posters on here who believe McGeady will be booed because of his nationality. You have posted that it is only the Irish and at that all the Irish poster who claim it.

I'm Scottish. I've lived here since I've been 16, I am now 20. I always visited Scotland for long periods every year, kept in touch with it all.

Do you live in Scotland? You seem to know a lot about the supposed problem with the Irish there.
