Outside Glasgow and the surrounding areas, I'd say there is absolutely no problem in regards to sectarianism directed towards the Irish in Scotland.

How is it deflection? If they have links to Northern Ireland then it is pretty obvious why they do what they do. It's more deflection blaming it on Scotland.

So, you wouldn't say there is a problem in Edinburgh for instance? Of Ayrshire?

It is deflection. How long has it taken you to acknowledge the fact it happens in this country and the first thing you say to that is to blame Northern Ireland? That is standard deflection tactics.

    Nonsense.

Lennon was abused as far afield as Inverness.

Just because I didn't support a team doesn't mean I didn't have knowledge of the game. Scotland is a small place, of course I knew about what was going on - even if I didn't live there. I still visited a lot and kept in touch with things.

I just didn't feel an affinity with any team. I actually supported Barcelona for a while, but that felt fake.

I know what you want me to reply with. How petty. The desperation. Pathetic.

    "Surrounding areas".

From Perth to the top of Scotland there is no problem. But it's nice to pretend there is.

What of your claim that it was only Irish posters who claimed McGeady and McCarthy could be booed for their nationality? Actually you claimed all the Irish posters were of this view. The fact you do not want to respond to being proved wrong is not surprising.

Your "How petty. The desperation. Pathetic" smacks of deflection.

Why are Irish people so sensitive ffs?

Shay Given greetin' because Strachan hopes the Tartan Army treat McGeady and McCarthy like panto villans.

Thank * Mic McCarthy is made of sterner stuff.

How old are you, can't you remember? Read his book.

He was abused in Inverness as a player and physically attacked in Edinburgh as a manager.

No it doesn't. You were absolutely desperate for me to reply with "It's actually in Northern Ireland". Which I didn't, as A. I couldn't give a * where it is and B. That's what you wanted.

OK, one on here has actually had the ability to look over this fantasy a large amount of you have and realise that the boos will mainly be from people * off that they missed out on two quality players.
