I've saw McGeady scrapping in town before, I thought the guy swinging the haymakers and calling him a bead rattling wee * must have been really disgruntled by his sometimes erratic crossing.

Am not arguing about anyone expressing themselves. All am arguing is basically that the horrible hun type won't be supporting Scotland anyway, anti Irish sentiments isn't as bad as people claim and that I don't think McQueen meant anything bigoted.

    So... settle down.

So, what's the issue here? Scotland fans will boo two class players because they could have been playing for us, but they are instead playing against us.

Will a pathetic minority be booing them for less acceptable reasons? Probably. Does virtually everyone with a * brain condemn them for it? Of course.

The truth is, if McGeady and McCarthy were * we wouldn't care, so it's actually a reflection on their ability more than anything else.

No, he's really not and stupid inflammatory comments like that don't help. If people want to discuss this matter they should give it the respect it deserves, being childish and throwing about accusations about 'maiming' players is daft.

We are sporting rivals, Scott Brown is a hard player who will leave a marker on someone early doors. It's Broony, we all know Broony.

How does someone without a Scottish bone in their body come to support Scotland?

Exactly. Anyone who thinks that Brown would go into a tackle trying to hurt someone is * deluded. He's a hard player as you say, but he's fair for the most part.

The main problem for me is people who try and deny that there is a heavy element of anti-Irish sentiment in this country and the diaspora in particular. It's a very minor symptom of a massive problem on the country, one that has effected a lot of people on this forum just as surely as racism has effected others.

There is a massive discrimatory element to it, it's a big occasion, of course it's going to bring that sentiment to the top of a lot of these scummy * brains.

Moved to Scotland when I was two. So I was raised there. Chose Scotland myself. Parents and elder siblings are pretty disappointed. Especially as I 'corrupted' my wee bro int o supporting Scotland as well ;) But of course I support Ireland as well. I really wasn't happy with them being drawn together.

Was it Lee Naylor? Maybe he was sick of you blaming him for McGeady having a bad game :56:

I never mention racism. I can only think you brought up Brown because he plays for Celtic. I wonder why you felt the need to allude to Brown clattering McGeady.

To answer your initial question. If Brown did clatter McGeady then I would think that is his style. Hopefully Brown does not have the mindset of many of the Scottish fans on here and treats McGeady as an opponent in a football game rather than a target for special treatment.

Was outside Karbon so it might have been! Lee Naylor had a bit of an evil streak in him :56:

Sadly, some are trying to tar the whole country as having that problem and it gets on my *. Obviously it happens but its a minority. I can safely say on Friday night, if any player, is referred to in a non-friendly religious way in the area I and my mates will be in they will be speaking to the plod/stewards.

Wanting Aiden clattered seemed to be inciting violence upon him, but i'll give him the benefit of the doubt this time. We all know if someone goes in hard on Aiden early doors it will only encourage the hate mob in the stands and set the tone for the rest of the game.

It depends what you mean by clattered, if its a hard tackle then fair enough. But we both know there will be people in the stands screaming to break his leg .

I hope McGeady gets clattered. Absolutely. Just like I want Messi clattered when playing Barca or any other team's most skillful player.

I hope he doesn't. I've saw McGeady run riot after * him off by giving him the heavy treatment too many times.
