I don't understand this guy.

Is he saying it is all right for English born players to play for Scotland if they feel Scottish, but that is a disgrace for Scotish born players to play for Ireland (regardless if they feel Irish)?

 

Also an interesting case is Miroslav Klose he was born in Poland but it was Germany 40 years before he was born what is he?

I don't bear them any ill will for going with the country that selected them first, nor to people who boo them at the game. It's a football game for *'s sake, and a hugely important one.

 

We may as well just abandon International football then because what you're advocating is essentially club football.

Plenty Catalonians don't have a problem playing for Spain.

Of course because I won't presume to tell any individual what they should or shouldn't feel with regards to their nationality. It's up to them.

 

I have a feeling what would normally be a pretty friendly rivalry will not about Glasgow and at the game Friday..

I will support them and want them to win, but i do find myself increasingly anti flag waving, anti nationalistic about many things these days.

I even hate seeing Olympic athletes or tennis players or Ryder Cup golfers frantically trying to find a national flag to wrap around themselves.

 

Was Podolski not actually polish I'm sure he said he would play for them but Germany offered him a a spot in the there 1st team instead of Polands under 21s
