ffs salzburg could have easily been in the champions league, we just drew and nearly defeated them away from home in europe.. wake up and smell the * roses, thats fantastic! This teams coming on leaps and bounds from the start of the season. Aye Ambrose is still *, but common, he's our big lump of * :56:

Defending was poor for the first goal 3 of the 4 defenders got dragged to the ball. 2 smashing goal from Wakaso and Soriano.

A decent result as long as we build on it in the coming games.

    Chill out guys!

We have just drew away from home against a team which went far in this last year and also have last years top scorer.

I thought we did pretty well especially given our form at the moment. This is a big step up from Maribor and KR. Sure we got a bit lucky with Gordon having a great game but a point is great and gets us off to a solid start, while having the toughest game out of the way.

Only downsides for me are that ambrose was once again shocking and cost us a goal and the match. He played them onside for the goal chance and then diverted a shot that was clearly going wide into the net. I really hope Matthews and Lustig are back soon.

The team can only grow and get better as the new guys settle. We could have a really good run in this I think.

With one of our centre defenders slipping and falling their striker had a clear run on goal. Ambrose was the only defender to try to put pressure on the striker, trying to block the shot he was unfortunate to deflect the ball past the goalie .
I have no doubt Ambrose doesn't want to play right back for Celtic as getting forward to the last 25% of the pitch but he goes out every game and does his best . He is not error free but at least he tries .

Did he not play their striker onside though? I get that Ambrose tries his best but just think he has cost us too many times.

Just in from a gig - looks like a decent result, no? Everyone was talking up these Austrians before the game. We will do the * at home...

Provided Wakaso doesn't fade after a great debut like Boerrigter, and if McGregor can develop a bit this season... we've got some pair of wingers. :35:

The way they countered toward the end of the game, where McGregor played Wakaso in from midfield and Stokes stood off the ball bc he was offsides... Yeah, we haven't had a punch like that in our arsenal for awhile.

Have a good feeling about Scepovic. System needs a guy like him. The fact he hasn't had one decent goal-scoring opportunity presented to him, in two games, is frustrating though.

Big picture. I see you, Deila.

Congratulations to you guys! It was a pretty epic game to watch. A couple of thoughts about your style of play and your players.
First I will start with the bad. Couple of your players were pretty easy to get on the ground. Your Captain was one of them but Number 32 was the worst :47:. Every time there was a duel with another Salzburg player he was on the floor rolling around and crying. I always thought that you UK guys hated diving and whining around but the game yesterday changed my mind.
Now to the good. Your crosses were pretty sick. The passes were right on the money and were extremely fast. That way we weren´t able to exercise our normal pressing. Your best players were Number 8, Number 32 :47: and the playerthat was the absolute best player on the pitch Number 5. I think he was the best centre back I have ever seen live. He was so calm and never even flinched when two Salzburg players sprinted to him. I think this guy is bound to play at some huge club.

It will be interesting to see how you guys will go about the home game against us. I will be at Glasgow and am pretty excited to see your home ground.
    Best of luck against Dinamo!

Interesting take. Brown (no. 8) doesn't go down easy, but he is always moving so quickly and aggressively that he can go down via hs own momentum. Agree with Wakaso (no. 32), I hated his behaviour, but he looks a dynamic player. The centre back is Virgil van Dijk, and he will play for a team much better than ours in the future. You're right, he is so calm and he really leads the whole defence.

I expected more from Red Bull, is the club and the fans satisfied with this point in a home game?
