Just makes you wonder what sort of wage and signing on fee Lawwell and Celtic will offer him I am thinking wages in the region £20-25,000

 

I'd honestly give him £2m quid and be done with it. He's well worth that if you were buying him.

Last figure I saw from Feyernood was they were offering £15k, if that's how much the competition is offering hopefully a basic wage of £17k odd would seal it.

Even Marseille offering £45k apparently when he was going through his amazing patch of form would be a lot less due to the way the French tax high earners.

 

We may give it to him because we will only end up paying what he wants as a signing on fee on a transfer fee anyway.

If we do not sign him we will regret it.

 

We're gonna need a new striker in the summer anyway, people have had very reasonable criticisms of him in his time here but he has shown himself to have ability. I'm confident he'd be a good addition to the squad long term.

 

Unless were re-signing Hooper this is the only striker I would be targeting this summer

People are realising he is the better option we could go out and pay 3 million for someone who wouldn't fit into Ronny's system or get John who has had a full season under him and with a full pre-season under him will only become better

 

I would be surprised at this point if he signs for us. But I would be delighted if he does. I think with a full pre-season under him he could go on and be the prolific striker we have been missing since Hooper left.

 

He doesnt want to be here though. Ronny's said that he needs to come to him and say he wants to play for Celtic before anything happens

It's not down to pure and simply doesn't want to play for us it's more down to his affection with feyenoord and there's nothing wrong with that everybody had there place where they want to play

It's more the way he said it that bothers people

 

If he was the answer he would be starting every week.....which he's not.

 

lol Guidetti going mental at Ambrose in that training vid when (I think) Efe says he's not the best at 1 v 1's in the team.

 

Would keep him for around 15k - 16k a week. But I wouldn't be too bothered if he left either.

I think that the fact that he is still in and around the 1st team squad suggests that Deila still has plans for him in the future, whether or not JG has the same plans is another story.

People talk about if he had a full pre season with Ronny under his belt he'd be better but he's been with us since August and has arguably gone down hill as the season progressed and has been looking more sluggish since then too. You'd think training with Deila for almost a year should make you fitter and faster, no? So I don't know how much difference a pre season would make.

Saying that, I reckon if he gets his head straight and his attitude in line he could be a great addition to the squad.
