    Judging by those comments, I guess that's goodbye to John. Funny how things have changed, but right now that doesn't bother me at all. He'll be remembered for that goal against Inter and some nice free kicks.

    If he find's the form he was in at the start of the season he could go on to have a great career, but if he keeps up this * attitude he's going nowhere

    He's easily the most disappointing and frustrating player we've had in a while, because he undoubtedly is very technically gifted, but he doesn't work hard enough on his fitness, he can be very selfish, and, unlike the likes of Griffiths or Hooper, he doesn't have that instinct to make 'poacher's runs', etc. He's more like a much better version of Stokes; likes the ball played to his body, etc. If he'd man up, get fit, and start looking to contribute in every way he can (like Griffiths has done) then he'd be one heck of a player, but he's not anywhere near that at the minute.

    The "form" he was in wasnt even that good though. He scored a lot(half of them freekicks and penalties) but he didnt play that well.

    Two current other forwards at the club Stokes and Griffiths actually played better than him in their starts. Stokes scored 9 goals in his first 10 games for Celtic and Griffiths scored 7 goals and made 8 assists in his first 14 games for us. Both played better than Guidetti has.

    Only real reason people think he has great potential or can go on to be very good is that he is Swedish.

    It shouldn't be overlooked either that some of his fellow Sweden U21s strikers who are all younger than him seem higher up the pecking order than him Thelin, Ishak, Hrgota and Tankovic.

    You're right though, his performances were poor and ovelooked because he was scoring, he contributed less than the rest of the team. He's just perceived to be 'better' because he is foreign (Swedish).

    Only gotten worse aswell, such a lazy *. I suggested he was too bulky away back in October and was told I was ma - he is far too bulky, could eaily do with losing hal a stone and toning up. Worries me that he hasn't gotten slimmer/fitter in months, yet the rest of the team has?

    If he was Scottish or came from another SPL side he'd be compared to O'Connor, Higdon, Thompson and Ciftci. Nobody would be saying he had the potential to be quality or had great technique.

    Stokes has as good a technique as him.

    Will admit I was one of those people who where getting carried away with him. Think it's simply because as Celtic fans we're desperate for a good European quality striker and get our hope built up so easily because we've not had that in years

    I don't agree with anyone saying he wasn't that good at the start of the season. He was. His overall play was excellent and he was scoring goals for fun.

    The fact that Guidetti is * at the moment is because of one thing - he is not working hard because he's not interested. If any player is not working hard and has no interest they'll appear to be *.
