The mentality is completely different, the fans who shout out the no surrender nonsense are often the fans with hooligan/loyal influence, that does not count for the majority of English fans and I seem to recall that we played Ireland last year and there was no trouble?
The modern day English fan doesn't give a * about Ireland let alone hate them :56: We don't even consider Ireland a rival, they are nothing compared to Scotland or Argentina.

Hooligan or loyal influence, so most of your away support in Switzerland for example? No surrender never sounds like a minority to me and is belted out constantly during every games and through the anthem..

Not a rival? I'll believe that the day i see England next play in Dublin without fuss..
Wembley is total lockdown these days due to there bans/conditions and police force..

England will qualify no bother, then when they come up against decent opposition they'll struggle imo.

I agree that most England fans don't have a problem with Ireland but the actual English fans that go to games do have a problem. They still sing No surrender to the IRA. Even in pubs during the world cup I heard it. They also hate Celtic with a passion.

Easiest group you'll ever see, if they don't put at least 5/6 past san Marino they are an embarrassment..

On current form we'd probably struggle to beat San Marino ourselves :fear: or Commons would save our * with a last minute wonder strike
