    I think I may be the only person on here that England doesn't bother.. I always watch them when on tv but have no real hate for them or even get any joy out of a defeat

    Maybe just because I'm not interested in international football

    Switzerland were reliant on getting the width from Rodriguez and Lichsteiner. The one dimensional approach allowed England to counter in the areas vacated by the two players.

    Shaqiri is a waste of space and his decision to try a shoot from 30 yrds out led to an England break away for the 2nd goal. Hodgson got the set-up correct but once the quality of opposition and the organisation of sides get better, then we shall see what England have to offer.

    England will qualify no problem but even from tonight it was still a pretty average display.

    Shaqiri is a gifted player but has to become less greedy and eat healthier and stay out the gym. He looks like a mini version of that Polish guy that used to always win Worlds Strongest Man. A footballer shouldnt be carrying that much weight. Imagine he done his knee and had to spend 6-8 months out or that, he's turn into a beachball.

    Wellbeck shut up a few detractors tonight. Switzerland may not be the strongest, but they are pretty good and i think that was a great result from England and will allow them to coast this campaign and build confidence, which is sometimes the only difference between the top teams.

    Exactly. Two goals against an average side doesn't change that.

    He might score 20 goals for Arsenal this season but Giroud did that and he's also a donkey.

    His lack of ball control was evident last night, as well as his lack of composure, best seen when he passed it straight to a Swiss player when two England ones were free in the middle.

    The majority of us aren't, deal with it..

    Cause the mentality is really different 19 years on isn't it?
    They see all republic supporters as terrorists , ira lovers and hate them with a passion..

    * even the national anthem is belted out with no surrender amongst there other * repotires..

    Most of my mates are English and love football but hate the national team for all different reasons, fans being one..

    We really don't need a thread on them especially with the easiest group in Europe, England population bigger at least 4 times than all in the group combined..
