Gordon does really well in starting the attack from deep, doesn't he. As you say, his quick passing can really put the opposition on the back foot. It was obvious Scott wanted to have a big game today, and he certainly battled. His touch was a bit off, but that's only to be expected, and he'll be better against Salzburg. Yeah, Scepovic didn't really get a chance to do anything, and Guidetti showed class and that he would go looking for the ball. Tonev was a bit worrying, but it's only his first game. Kris and Callum need a bit of calm advice about the game being a team game. They're both great assets to Celtic, but need to think more of the team. If Stokes had been playing today, it would've been like a game of pinball.

Agree with everything you say, and to be fair on Ronny he has been denied the master class of Brown in midfield, and lumbered with the erratic Ambrose due to injuries and suspensions, which has meant Ronny has been forced to play makeshift teams with no possibility of being able to pinpoint his best team and provide continuity of some sort. Hopeful that we can make some sort of show of it in the Europa, and having a top notch goalie like Gordon between the sticks is a real plus factor.

We have a good range of options upfront now and the midfield looks well covered too with Kayal, Johansen, Biton, Brown and MacGregor.

Deneyer and Virgil look a great partnership at CB, rock solid. Just the two full back spots that are worrying, though Izzy was better today.

Pleased we won, but I * hate our current formation, it does our striker no favours at all.

 

Only 43k there today,not great for a big game but guess it was on TV and the £29 can easily put fans off.

Yes, Izzy was looking a lot more comfortable today. But do you think he might have lost a yard or two of pace? Anyway, as you say, he definitely looked fresher today. And Kayal was great. Someone mentioned earlier that he was playing like he did in his first season with us. It would be great to have him back in that form for the Europa. Really looking forward to the Salzburg game. It's on Setanta here, 3:00 a.m. on Friday morning. It would be great if we could bring home any kind of result from that game; great for our confidence. All the best. HH

 

now i see what brown brings to the team, as soon as he want off we got deeper and deeper, and you see how he drives the whole team forward. his passing is still poor, but hes needed back in there, also for the first time, thought mcgregor was really selfish, could have passed on a few occasions and went himself,all in all good 3 points, and onwards and upwards
