    That's very promising!

    The deal hasn't been confirmed yet because it was concluded with an extension and the SFA don't know their * from their elbow but it looks like the deal's gone through at UEFA. They don't tend to get the club a player's registered to wrong - they should be the authority on that before anyone. Here's hoping. :celt_2:

    Celtic failed to sign Manchester City striker John Guidetti on loan after time ran out to register the player on transfer deadline day.

    The 22-year-old was in Glasgow last night for talks, but despite agreeing to a loan move it could not be completed before the 11pm deadline.

    Now Celtic are set to go to UEFA claiming extenuating circumstances prevented them from lodging Guidetti’s paperwork in time.

    The Swedish striker has spent five years with the English champions, but has failed to make a single first team appearance. He as loaned out to Stoke last season, but injury curtailed his season with only six games played and no goals.

    Guidetti spent season 2011-12 on loan to Feyenoord scoring 20 goals in 23 games.

    That's a old report from last mite, more news coming out now can see this deal been done if look at epl cleverly can still sign on loan to Villa, so if he can sign well after transfer deadline then surely we can also
