Mate celtic shat it when they got the call from scepovics agent informing them that the deal is back on.. We got caught with our trousers down here.. Plus not to mention they were sitting doing new negotiations on scepovic, He took a £1800 wage cut as a form of saying sorry. after being told by his agent to do so as its in his best intrest.. The guy from what av been told is a total money grabbing time wasting * and wasnt even that happy to sign tbh.. Just wanted away from his 2nd div team..

Take this into consideration say 90mins, then the whole negotiation of a new player. agreeing payments, percentages of wages, medical, then agreeing all this AGAIN with the player. 3/4 hours.. so that leaves a gap of about 60 mins to get deal done.. so it was really cut fine tbh even since sfa didnt asnwer there phones.. (masons) chill ooot man he will be a celtic player soon enough.

So Scepovic is to blame, hmm not sure I buy that completely, does it mean Celtic no longer wanted Guidetti or they believe Scepovic is the better player, but if that was the case why then try to push through the deal last minute, or are we incapable of doing the paper work for 2 players simultaneously - hopefully we can still pull this off and have 2 strikers to compete with the deadwood we currently have.

Why did we go back for him when we should have concentrated on getting guidetti in

Read my post again. He won't be signed before the Europa League deadline tonight. Ergo, he will not be playing European football if we do sign him.

All the Scepovic paperwork was already completed and we just needed him to sign the dotted line. That's when he decided "*, I'd rather play in the BBVA than the Scottish Premiership" (Fair enough). So he * off to Spain and he couldn't agree personal terms with Getafe. That's when he flew back to Glasgow and all he had to do was sign the contract as all the paperwork was already completed. That's why that deal went through before the Guidetti one.

Absolutely raging we didn't get Guidetti, would have preferred him to Scepovic.

Scepovic would be our player long term, unless we decide to sell him on at some point. It was probably the correct decision instead of going all out for a guy who may only be here one season.

I hope we win the appeal though.

It's all ambrose's fault. * tripped over his ankles and pistol Pete had to help him to his feet which in turn delayed the paperwork.

dont see why tbh, the appeals process will take hours, and the swedish lads have already said hes on his way to halmstad.

the source of this rumour that he's at parkhead came from some guy on twiter with 38 followers..............................

was so happy he was signing last night, then as usual something goes wrong.why the * can we not just sign a player without all the drama.guidette is exactly the striker we need,i watched loads of feyenoord games when he played and he was sensational for them.he has had injuries and nearly never played again.i dont know if he will be as good again though but if he was he would be some signing.cant see it happening now though.

are people really blaming this on scepovic?

    * sake, we should be able to work on bringing in two players at the same time. dont try and make out as if staff concentrating on scepovic was the blame for the ball being dropped on guidetti.

people need to get over the fact scepovic initially u-turned. his preference was to stay in spain and he thought he had an opportunity to fulfil that when getafe came in for him. its pretty understandable

get off his back until hes at least played a few games for us

"Celtic await ratification of Guidetti’s transfer by the SFA. The player travelled to Glasgow yesterday afternoon and quickly concluded a deal with Celtic, but it took until late in the evening before paperwork arrived from Manchester.

Aware of the delay, Celtic applied to the SFA for an extension. The SFA authorised the extension and subsequently received all relevant paperwork, Celtic believed they were over the line, but I understand we are in new territory with respect to extensions, so the SFA have asked Fifa for guidance.

Paperwork was submitted considerably before Manchester United completed the 2am signing of Radamel Falcao, so there is reason for hope, but it’s not clear in Glasgow what discretion the FA used to register Falcao. The same may or may not be available to the SFA.

There are also time constraints, player lists for Uefa group stage competitions need to be completed by 23:00 tonight, and we can’t add the player until Fifa issue guidance to the SFA.

If Celtic wanted a more complicated transfer than Guidetti they surely found it with our Serbian striker, Stefan Scepovic. Transfers involving influences across multiple countries are often difficult……

One thing Celtic are clear about is the endurance of the player, who had to sit through difficult hours in order to make the deal happen. He kept his nerve as others tried to sell him to Getafe – who were under no Financial Fair Play restrictions.

We’ll do a wrap-up of the window tomorrow."

He was seen walking into CP at 6 o'clock and we got an extension and still couldn't push it through.

I've never seen this guy play but I hope Celtic can get a deal done. It seemed so positive yesterday evening. Hopefully brown envelopes find their way to the right pockets.

I don't think Celtic should've gone back in for Scepovic after he * around. He'd better be *-hot because, as is evident by this forum, the fans have long memories regarding any *-ups.

I've already got my torch and pitch fork ready for his debut.

A part of me still thinks that Lawwell got the Scepovic deal completed and then essentially told Guidetti that he wasn't needed any more.

Pessimistic, but possible at the same time.
