at end of the day, he is free to leave man city, at end of the season, was coming here on loan so city must want him of wage bill and free to sign for anyone at end of season, so cant see why city wouldnt rip up contract and let him go on free if he wants it so this could go very well and get quality player on a free. be positive you negative * ha ha anyways bed for me

I'm not so sure. City can still negotiate his contract while he's on loan. If they want to keep him all that will happen is that he'll rot in the reserves or go somewhere where the window is still open.

However, if either City didn't want him anymore, or Guidetti was refusing to sign a contract, then there is a chance we can still get him because if the player feels strongly enough about wanting leave to take a severance pay below what he'd earn in a year by running his contract down, then keeping him on would make no sense whatsoever.

Why would City want to keep him though? he's not good enough for any EPL team never mind potential Champions.

Only reason they wouldnt release him is if they wanted to recoupe £1or2million for him to cover the cost of having paid him over the last 6 year or however long he was there.

I, however, do not feel that it was all down to me.

 

One way to get around it would be for Guidetti to take a pay cut and for us to make up the shortfall. It would be like Man City getting a transfer fee.

I can't see it happening though.

 

What about this thing Arsenal did to buy an extra hours time? Could Celtic not do the same. It should be fairly *' simple, get the paperwork up as SOON as City accept the order, * email it and then as soon as he's in the door, which was what.. quarter to 10 he showed up at Parkhead? get him took for a medical and even if it did venture onto us using that additional hour, how * long does it take to jog on a treadmill for a wee bit and show the physio's yer fit?

I don't buy it. There's somethin no right.

 

Unless we agreed with City near the last minute for them to let him go and him to sign for us. Which could have happened.
