    So transfer window is nearly closed. Here's a little round up of our dealings;

    IN

    Wakaso Mubarak - Loan (With option to buy)
    Alexsander Tonev - Loan (With option to buy)
    Jason Denayver - Loan
    Jo Ing Bergert - Loan (With option to buy)
    John Guidetti - Loan (?)
    Stefan Scepovic - £2.2million
    Craig Gordon - Free

    OUT

    Fraser Forster - £10 million
    Tony Watt - £1.2 million
    Teemu Pukki - Loan (With option to buy) £500k fee with £1.2million option
    Amido Balde - Loan (With option to buy) £250k fee with ?
    Dylan McGeouch - Loan
    Hombert Fridjonsson - Loan (With option to buy)
    Jackson Irvine - Loan
    Lewis Toshney - Released.
    Bahrudin Atjic - Released.


    Mention must also go to Calum McGregor on a new 5 year deal and keeping VVD for at least another 6 months.

    So what's everyone's thoughts? Before everyone shouts about Loans remember it is a good safety net and the people watching Deadline Day will tell you it seems to be the common theme with must clubs atm.

    Seem to have everything there except Toshney, didn't he get released? I thought you'd miss Irvine but you got him there! :50:

    On paper that is our best transfer window in years! To bad it all happened in one day but in a way I'm happy cause that was a * exciting night!

    Glad we got rid of Pukki and feel a little bad for Balde and Fridjohnson seeing as they never got a chance, balde came off the bench with 2 minutes to go most times and Fridjonson didn't even get a snifter!

    Not to mention we kept VVD!

    Shame about Irvine but ach well.

    Some good signings there on paper, regardless of loans.

    The Scepovic and potential Guidetti deal make things look a whole lot rosier. If we had signed Armstrong or Ibraimi as well I'd have been even more impressed but can't complain considering I didn't think any * would come in this morning.

    Agreed, need a tall strong cdm though that can bully players off the ball. Of VVD does go in Jan we will need to replace his height at the back.

    We were at least a fortnight late with 2 strikers which is so frustrating but at least we brought them in.

    The squad looks a lot healthier as things stand and will look even better when Brown and Forrest sort themselves out.

    We should now give VVD a new 5 year contract on £20k a week and let him know he will be sold next summer at the earliest for atleast £10million.

    Yup. The call up to the Dutch squad is massive. It shows you can get into big squads if you play well for Celtic. His value will go right up now as long as he doesn't blow it. Hopefully we will promise him a move next summer and he will focus on a having a good season.

    Despite not seeing the new guys play for Celtic yet, I would still confidently say the squad looks a lot better now. Deila's got to get them organised and winning matches. Brown and Forrest coming back will be like new signings too.

    Enough of the crazy tactics now Deila, let's get some results!

    - Guidetti deal fell through but at least a slim chance he'll sign tomorrow.
    - Atajic was released.

    IMO there's an off-chance we'll hear of other minor players coming/going tomorrow because we usually loan in a young goalkeeper and there have been a number of younger players from the academy who've been released but the agreement has not been announced.

    Hope we can get a free agent LB or an MLS player when that league finishes in Nov..

    Still did our business far too late.. Changes should have been in place before we played Legia..

    Definitely happy, especially if we get Guidetti. Not bothered that most players we've brought in are on loan. We've an option to buy on all except Denayer.

    Gordon, Denayer, Scepovic, Wakaso, Tonev all look like they could do a job.

    If Guidetti gets the go ahead from UEFA it will be great. Hopefully deal will be ok. Scepovic and Guidetti will hopefully improve the team, badly need more quality up front.. Wakaso has La Liga experience and if he and Tonev settle then it could be very good business, overall. We badly need to look and scout, centre half's as VVG will go next year imo and Effe is scary at the moment.
