Here is the thing I would have been happier spending 3-4 million on a good striker and get a defender in for 1.5 than get a defender in for 5.5 or what ever the * jozo is suppose to have cost

The thing is, you've already written off Ciftci and Allan. Completely unfair.

 

Bit of a daft statement that. Griffiths has played in the CL. And he's playing in a much poorer team.


None the less, my point stands the previous 12 years to when McDonald signed. Neither he nor Hooper would get a game for Celtic.

 

its actually the way I feel as well man...and many fans at the game on Saturday where staring into space and very subdued throughout the game...im struggling to give a * about the EL,even more so after the team we have....and I really feel for Ronny

 

People are going to laugh but would you be happy to go to pitodrie in a few weeks with players that don't know what it's like to play for us and a full Aberdeen team who know what it's like to be up for a game like this and will get absolutely tore in from the start

 

I think we need real answers from the board about this. How do they expect to compete or even get near europe beyond Christmas?

If no CL it seems we simply take season ticket money and at same time sell a player and utilise a half of that on a sprinkling of players (also save money on a few players we pap out on loan).

Majority will be peefed that no striker has arrived.........or will one get wheeled out at last minute as 'loan signing' deadline is next week

 

The eternal optimist in me is suggesting that Allan is secretly a prolific 30 goal a season hitman who had just been misused by Hibs.

 

Of course we signed him on time, probably done hours ago.

Hugely disappointed we didn't sign a striker with experience I was happy with the Christie and Croat signing, still under an hour left but take a miracle?

 

So Gordon, Izzy, Mulgrew, Brown, Bitton, Johansen, Armstrong, GMS, Johansen, Griffiths, Lustig, Commons all don't know what it's like to play for Celtic?

 

I hope Ciftci proves me wrong but from what we've seen he's hardly looked decent. Scott Allan is a pointless signing he'll be lucky to make the bench there is so many in front of him.
