And yet there are plenty im sure that extended their contract with plenty time left on their current deal.


He had a contract offer and he stalled and did the same at his last club...he waited untill the last day and in that day....went to london did medical and signed contract.

He had two choices and he chose....its as simple as that.

 

He did but we helped him make that choice.

There has been plenty of times treating players like that has worked for us, so I see why they gamble on it, we done it to Stokes, Commons, Lustig, Lenny... all worked. It didn't with Ledley, fair enough but if we really wanted him here, we could have got him to sign.

We didn't do enough and we lost a good player because of it.

 

If PL is as shrewd as some say there is no way he would have looked at ledley and how he ran his last contract down before signing for us and though...yes i can leave this one late save a few quid he will defo sign up.

We need an experienced CB because in reality we could have a back four with an average age of U 21 if we line up like this which is not inconceivable - Janko, Boyata, Simuvic, Blackett. probably got about 50 games in total between them and we expect them to qualify through the EL group?? I know our signing policy but sometimes we need to changes things slightly for the good of the team.
