One or two SPL nobodies and perhaps a loan or two from untested youngsters from England no one has ever heard of. None of them being a left back. Same * every year. The only difference is we are not going to * 2m in a striker worse than Stokes because we already did.

Four loan signings, with an option to dingy in 12 months time.

Buy three 'raw' strikers all around the 1.5 million mark that all fail, or loan another 3 18 year old attacking mids (no defenders of course, that would just be too sensible).

And Deila plays him in midfield... :smiley-laughing002:

How about this... We'll either sign a few folk, or we won't. If we do, they'll either be great or crap. But in any case a crew of folk will be on here screaming that the sky is falling down...

    Wait and see

A lot of players don't think celtic is an attractive option as it was on Tuesday morning

Building myself up massively for this. We need to invest or we're openly stating that we're going backwards as a club.

Scepovic and Guidetti last summer deadline day, Mackay-Steven and Armstrong in January.

I have faith we'll pull of something good. Please *.

Not sure if this has been posted already? http://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/latest/celtic-bid-500-000-for-ryan-christie-1-3871840
A bid for another young Scottish midfielder from the SPL... That would mean 4/7 of our last signings have been this way... What is going on at Celtic Park???
We are in desperate need of a striker and atleast one CB and a LB that are capable of challenging at European level and we're trying to sign mid's who would do adequate in the SPL!
You couldn't make this stuff up.

Don't get your hopes up mate. I'd love to be wrong, but it's the Celtic board. They're so * prudent.

To be fair, average players these days are costing fortunes, which means to get someone good you need to go to obscene amounts. Then the added issues are noone established wants to come here and if they do you have to pay them extra again.Look back at players like Jarosik and Graveson and it's clear we've not had much luck with established players.

On top of this we were knocked out of the Champion's League, not because of our league but because we weren't good enough and most players lacked the character to hold on against Malmo. The best thing we can hope for, I think, is a new project to replace Van Dijk if, as I assume he will, he goes to the Premiership. Think the Croatian feller. Also, some young Scottish talents who are hit or miss like young Christie

We are 4 players away from a team capable of beating Ajax. And I am not even one of those that think we need a new striker. We need a CB, a RB (because Lustig never plays), a LB and a left winger better than the ones we currently have. There are not even rumours about those positions.

We need a big physical striker who is good in the air and with his feet. See now that I look back, letting Samaras go was a big mistake. We are too one dimensional, we need someone up front who can mix it up.

think its time for the board members to either put up or get out and let some people who have ambition and move celtic to the next level in european football as getting beat against malmo or any other small fry is unacceptable in my thinking . the worry is some of the support will get disillusioned and start not going to games if the board dont start to show a bit of ambition and get a couple of quailty players in .:54:

Totally agree,we need a few quality players who can come in and hit the ground running immediately, but the way the board have been the past few years, don't expect to see much change from them, they are too set in their own ways about the "buy young players on the cheap then sell big" policy and are determined that every signing we make will be within that policy, it is frustrating because it shows that the board are not bothered if the team goes backwards in quality, all they are more interested in a clean balance sheet.

that policy of buying cheap and selling on is not working and celtic is suffering at european football level . we need to keep our better players for 2 to 3 seasons and try build a team that can do something in europe .
