Celtic On Deadline Day - What will Happen

I think we'll do some buiness; Lawwell knows fine well we need players.

Prices generally go up which means we'll restrict business, but sometimes they go down if teams are desperate to get rid. I could also see us trying to soften the blow by doing swap deals.

As for outgoings: there will definitely be a few but not necessarily all on deadline day. I thought we'd lose him bui I now think we'll hold on to VVD; the likes of McGeouch will probably down south in League One or the Championship while I can see Pukki heading back to the Bundesliga. Would like to see us loan within the SPL to the likes of Killie, Dundee, St. Mirren etc. because it gives a real indication of how they do there which is probably most important for a player who'll obviously not be making European games just yet.

 

We always sign a goal keeper on loan who never even sits on the bench. My bet is for that trend to continue

 

The TV "draw" is exactly the same no matter who we get. I don't care what results these teams have had previously we have a decent chance of getting out of that group if we play well and that's what we have to be aiming to do. Wanting to draw big teams that we will lose to just for an entertainment standpoint is absolutely pointless unless you're a neutral. Silly me for wanting Celtic to do well.

Hopefully sign another LB and CM who can rival Kayal, Johansen and Mulgrew. Would take another CB as well but 3 in will never happen.

 

this but with the midfielder the stand out point for me would have to be creativity their is nobody in the team with even an ounce of that just now

Usual stuff...............Sit watching Sky for 10 hours praying for a striker, but we will get lumped with a 3rd choice goalie..

All the while having to put up with Jim White rubbing his lipstick against his co presenters leg as his excitement builds whilst watching Harry Redknapp hang out his car window looking like a dodgy * trying to solicit some "business"...clatty auld *.

 

A LB and getting the Serbian lad confirmed should be the priorities before the deadline I reckon. We'll just about cope without another CM I suppose, although I agree that we desperately need someone with a bit of composure and style in their play and at ease when they have the ball at feet. It's asking a lot at this stage though, prices rise and we just won't pay the fees.

Competition for Izzy and the striker are musts though at the moment.

 

Assuming that van Dijk is off and Scepovic signs then we need a Centre-half and a Left-back as Izzy badly needs some competition. If we have any aspirations about the Europa League then we could be doing with a creative midfielder as well. I won't hold my breath though.

 

Getting the Scepovic deal done would be nice.

A real creative midfield player would be excellent. Someone who can keep possession, is calm and can pick a pass. That would really knit the team together nicely, and would be a massive plus in Europe. Can't see it, mind.
