Im not exaggerating when I say any of these 4 teams could finish top of the group or bottom of the group. A true measurement of how much we have fallen in 2 years because back then we would run away with this group but now who knows?

 

Finding it hard to get excited over any of these ties. Drawing someone like Inter or Spurs would have softened the blow of Tuesday night a little, this Group just doesn't do that.

 

Couple of nice away trips... Salzburg and Zagreb are nice cities to spend a couple of days in.

Outstanding first post .. welcome to the forum. I agree with you on many points you have included. Not many teams relocate cities ... but you could look into MK Dons.. who recently beat Man Utd 4-0.

 

Their goalkeeper is good, however i don't believe any team should be "wary" of a gk, but Budescu [no.10] and their right midfielder Enache [no.9] are good. They also have a recently signed a french central midfielder that played for blackpool in the "best" league in the world. Oh, I almost forgot, they also had the the starting right back of the Romanian national team [although that in itself doesn't say much ], however he had one year left on his contract, refused to extend it and, as it is the custom in Romania when a player refuses to extend his contract, he was banned from training by the owner and he will almost certainly won't play. A pity, as he was good and I cannot see him getting back to the level he had after training for a year by himself.

 

Hi, I am from Romania and I expected Astra to play in Bucharest as well, but their owner said on tv multiple times that before the second leg with Lyon they received an inspection from uefa and they were pleasantly impressed with their stadium, thus they allowed them to play in Giurgiu the group stage matches.

I don't think most Celtic supporters will underestimate Astra.

Personally I don't really know what to expect from Celtic in this group.

Its not CL but I am looking forward to these games, some good opposition probably of a similar level to us so there should be six good games to watch and hopefully three packed home ties.

Astra sound like a more successful, Romanian version of Gretna.
