Why would a Serbian guy want to go to Glasgow to play in a team filled with * players and no Champions League football? The way to get him was to offer him an excellent deal, but we obviously haven't done that. Say what you want about him pulling out of the deal, a few extra grand a week and he'd be our player right now.

 

So Ronny said we'd have two in by tonight after the Maribor game...

Yes I wonder what odds you could get at the bookies on VVD leaving in this transfer window, probably evens. As for KC I did not reckon he would leave but now I think about it a bit more I am sure if there is any opportunity for Celtic PLC to cash in on him I expect he will be gone tomorrow. I wonder how much Celtic will get for Craig Gordon next summer when he is sold for profit. Plus I wonder which free transfer goalkeeper will be signed as his replacement.

I wonder if Jean Marc Bosman will one day get a statue erected in his honour at Celtic Park, because his transfer predicament appears to have inspired Celtic PLC's transfer strategy. However I assume Celtic PLC would not erect a Bosman statue unless they could acquire it by free transfer or free loan

He had agreed on a deal... Which means he accepted our offer! For whatever reason he has turned it down at the last minute. I don't have an agenda against anyone here so I'm not going to fill the gaps in scepovic decision to fit my own agenda.. You can make up whatever story about the boards offer not being good enough you like but the fact remains he had accepted the offer given to him by celtic SO IT WAS OBVIOUSLY GOOD ENOUGH!!!

 

Wait... countless people have been calling Lawwell stingy and a liar for days... yet they believe that it was Scepovic that pulled out of the deal?

 

I don't feel sorry for him in the slightest. Think he should shut his mouth or come out and tell us all that the board aren't backing him. Sort out his tactics while he is at it too.

 

aye if he walked away then it was him as previously said he had accepted out deal had agreed a 4 year deal and passed medical and HAD work permit issued, then he waited until Getafe matched celtic bid and has now signed for them.
